He'll be able to make WW again. What do they say the average head weighs, because he'll be missing one.

If he moves up to fight a MW and gets stopped, how is he going to get back down to 147 healthy? It did not work for Jones, Jr. and Tarver.

Yeah maybe in your delusional world ! But the fact still remains that Pavlik is fighting a guy who has fought in a smaller division ..Paul is untested against anyone north of 147 I don't care who he spars with ..Cotto spars with middles him dam self as did Mayweather but are they fighting at middle weight ?No !! IPavlik is willing to take the challenge yeah big set of balls there fighting a welter ! I don't care how tall he is and what he is suited for ..If this were the case Paul would have been fighting at the higher weight a long time ..

I will agree Paul deserves all the credit for stepping up but Pavlik hell no !! I don't care what type of spin you put on it at the end of the day he's fighting a welter weight since he 's untested in any other weight class !!!

Pathetic ! For all the crap Joe gets from people like you tell me the last time he's even entertained fighting a jr welter or someone lower than 160 ? He never has !!:vonnecunt

He has fought at 160 or around that weight in the past.

Most of his career was above 147.

Still, far from my first choice. Joe won't fight him, AA has a mandatory, Sturm will NEVER fight him...... Slim pickings at MW. Kelly will get trashed for fighting any other MW than AA who isn't available. Then there is the 'money' problem. Winky, I haven't fought in a year, wants more than Pavlik will get. HBO will only put up so much for certain fighters. PPV sucked last time. I'm wondering if his manager is right. Just take a break and wait for AA in January?

Goosen asked Top Rank for a fight with Pavlik. Unlike Joe, Kelly does not shoot off his mouth about fighting guys from lower weight classes. The fight only became possible because your boy ran for the nearest DUCK pond AFTER he called Pavlik, a middleweight, out numerous times. Those are the facts. And what the **** do junior welterweights have to do with any of this?

I don't know why the **** he would he skip jr middle and go for a welter ..I think its a disgrace more so then Joe vs Jones !!And I find it conveinet that the only opponet they could dig up was 2 divisons south of where he currently is but you want to question Joe's willingness to fight good oposition ..:patsch

Maybe it was just a typo, but you said junior welter, not junior middle! You're getting crazier by the minute. Pavlik did not make the choices. He fights the guys Top Rank asks him to, and you are fully cognizant of all the circumstances surrounding this. Joe, on the other hand, did make the choices. He even fired his promoter. Denial is certainly a powerful narcotic.

Hopefully Williams makes enough money to ATLEAST cover his medical bills and pay off his team.

You know -- in all seriousness -- right before the Lockett fight I got real nervous about Lockett getting killed in the ring. I think something like that would absolutely ruin Pavlik.
