154 seems bit pointless if hes not going to get another shot at martinez.
He can easily fight at 160 and maybe that will be a good career move by moving up in weight like cotto did from 147 to 154.

HEY, Darryl, you forgot to mention he was called out several times by no otherS than Dzinziruck, Clottey,Cintron and Quintana for a rubbermatch...... all to the deaf ears of Williams. Not only he was playing deaf, but he was also crying nobody wanted to fight him. NOW, the tide has turned against him AND the one looking 4 a rubbermatch is him. He didn't want to give Quintana one because according to him and his hypocryte fans (maybe you 1 of 'em?????) this was clearly settled in the 2nd fight... Let me remind u PW clearly lost the 1st fight against Carlos Q and there's a huge argument he caught CQ cold in the 1st round on the rematch, but yep, NOW things r dif. and Williams does deserve a rematch. Shows what kind of a man he AND his fans are for trying to justify all that.
Williams can keep on crying and that's why he gets a lot of that hate. Things shouldn't change AND he deserves ****....AND his delusional fans too. Always said it & kept on repeating it on these boards, but no one believed it :hey:yep, Williams is a KO on the wait, and it'll happen again if he keeps on fighting at that level.... Margarito is one that if a rematch goes, he would start a lot faster and not do the same mistake he did during the 1st fight, most probably stopping Williams mid-late rds.

Uh...Where are you getting this MUMBLE-JUMBLE. Not from a reliable source obviously. Williams was stripped of his 147lbs title because he could not secure a meaningful fight at 147lbs to defend his title. HBO and Showtime laughed in Williams face when the mentioning of a 3rd fight with Carlos Quintana. So he moved up to get better fights, including several attempts to make a fight with the Top-Dog at 160lbs at the Time...Kelly Pavlik. Remember, Martinez was a replacement for Pavlik. HBO threw a ton a money at Williams and Martinez for their rematch. And any fool would have taken that instead of a rematch with the "RING-JUMPER" (Cintron)....But hey, why let the FACTS get in the way.:-(

Here is a question for you...All I simply asked was: What is the Problem in Williams asking to fight the Top 3 Fighters in the World? What is so wrong with this question? Williams got KTFO...So What? He Paid he dues. Cotto got beaten to a Bloody Pulp...and then got a shot at the #1 FIGHTER IN THE WORLD, and he didn't even ask to fight Pacquiao....Arum Handed it to him. Damn thank you man, I mean who does the man have to beat to get respect. Everyone is riding Martinez's sack, this dude beat Martinez, you still have guys shining Margarito's balls, yeah Williams beat him too. He took on Cintron (before Cintron jumped out of the ring like a ***), he took on Winky Wright (and beat the brakes off him), the man has earned the right to fight the best. Exactly what you said, Mayorga, Margarito, SSM, JMM getting fights...but this guy can't get one, it's pathetic.

 

He has literally had 2 fights at 160, his 5th fight and his 12th fight, so how do you arrive at the conclusion he's a 160 lb. fighter?

 

Lets just put it out there how it is, no one wants to see "their guy" have to be the one to fight Williams, simple as that. There is no Pac fan who is going to say "Williams deserves this fight, has earned this fight, and is far more deserving than Tony, Cotto, or SSM", they won't because they know there is a good chance Manny gets his ass beat. That being said, they are trying to make him out to be a "MW who is trying to fight at WW" which is clearly not accurate, but because he had the sack to move up and do something Manny and PBF BOTH refused to do which is fight Martinez (which was at a catchweight of 157 I believe) now he's a "too big". Manny and/or PBF don't have to lose or gain weight, I bet he wouldn't even ask for drug tests, he is a 147 lb fighter who has a better resume than damn near any fighter at 147 but can't get a fight. The ONLY REASON HE CAN'T GET A FIGHT IS BECAUSE THE 147 ELITE ARE DUCKING HIM, PERIOD. <----To include Floyd, Manny, Berto, and any others you want to put in this group.
