How do these fights end up? Does Oscars jab and left hook get inside and break down P Willys body or does the tall man use his workrate and angles to edge out a tough fought decision. Has either guy got a KO in them?

You should set this up so it's Williams from before the first Martinez fight, as that's when his chin was really dented.

I'm no Paul Williams fan but him getting "outworked" is not a reasonable prediction. He throws like 1000+ punches per fight.

Williams is too defensively open to beat a sharp, accurate puncher like De La Hoya. Combine that with De La Hoya's power and De La Hoya's movement and legs during his best days as a welterweight and Williams wouldn't be able to outwork him without eating hard/crisp shots while trying to do so. Williams isn't a good enough or disciplined enough technician or technical boxer to get the better of De La Hoya in a chessmatch, even though he'd see sporadic periods of success.

I agree but at 154 I think it's slightly better for Williams

Same. De La Hoya never looked as good at 154 to me as he did at 147 and below.

Still not out of the ordinary. DLH could crack at 147, and was still very good at 154. Funny thing is, P Will really doesn't have that many big wins at either weight when you look at it. No one who comes close to the level of DLH.

KO or not, DLH beats him at both.

Williams UD, he would have DLH walking around teary eyed.
