    hopkins was number 1 after mosley lost to forrest you are right there.But Jones was definately ranked number 1 after he beat Ruiz until he lost to Tarver.Trinidad was never ranked number 1 by the ring but he was by lots of others after he ko'd Vargas among them Larry Merchant.
