I voted Roy simply because of the way he was peerless for well over a decade and because his opposition isn't as bad as a lot of people make out. Equally though, you can make a very strong case for Pacquiao.

I feel Oscar, while he fought very stiff competition, lost too many fights to be considered in this debate. Mayweather is not far off Pacquiao level but his lack of offensive capabilities in recent years hurts him here.

RJJ was so good, he made good fighters look like journeymen. Only people who don't know the difference think his comp wasn't good.

    RJJ
    lw or 140 Pac
    130 PBF and 147 ODLH = tie

Where the hell do u people come from? MAB, JMM and EM are at least as good and imho better than Trinidad, Quartey and Mosley.

He wasn't just putting in a good performance imho, he was winning the fight hands down until Tito started going low. And the early KD is still awfully suspicious to me given the issues with Tito's handwraps. Oscar just beat him up.

It started off so well for discussion until the bold...

Just stop scoring at least. I won't deny you write like you enjoy...you can't score a fight for **** though...I don't know if you're blinded by hate or jealously but just stop on Oscar...maybe we can discuss Holyfield-Bowe II or Lewis-Holyfield I but lets leave this here, your clearly aren't in touch with the boxing world on Oscar regarding Quartey, Trinidad, Mosley or Sturm.

Vargas put in a very good showing until Trinidad broke him down.

Disagree! Not at the time of the fights in question.
    My vote:
    De La Hoya
    Pac
    RJJ
    Mayweather

By best I am not talking skill. But the willingness to fight the best and take the risks necessary to strive for greatness.

    Ranking by mere skill:
    RJJ
    Mayweather
    Pac
    De La Hoya

Don't think Oscar was #1 for any period of time.
