I watched Tony Thompson's post fight press conference yesterday (Price fight) and it was ****ing hilarious from start to finish, especially when he started abusing a member of the press for yawning then tried to get him to ask a question at the end. but it got me thinking which boxers give the best value at press conferences and interviews. Here is my top 5. 1. Tony Belew (Always honest and funny) 2. Chisora (I am going to physically shoot David Haye... nuff said) 3. Danny Garcia (well his dad, he's a proper ***** but always worth a watch) 4. Tony Thompson 5. Paulie Malliganggi (see belew) what do people think? have I missed any good ones?
I was more going for current boxers otherwise Ali would be head and shoulders above everyone else, didn't Mayorga abuse De La Hoya's wife for having cancer in a press conference? pretty tasteless **** but always worth a watch
cory spinks it was. his mother died and mayorga said ''ill put u the grave with ur mother''. Duran vs Leonard press conferance duran to ray leonards wife ''after i **** him im gonna **** you'':deal
Add Fury to the list, watch the Fury - Chisora Presser. Or any of his really, always funny, calling Johnson Mr. Hat to a confused room of press people is a winner.
tysons press conferences were always mayhem, most of the time nothing ever happened or was said but in terms of the media they were crazy
Holmes/Berbick was absolutely mental!! Lewis/Tyson was bedlam as well. Chisora is the current king of weird pressers, claiming he had dreamed about making love to Helenius, fighting with Haye, slapping Vitali, kissing Carl Baker, all pretty mental. I also enjoyed watching Degale's face when Groves was ripping him in the presser once he signed to FW saying stuff like "We've got two undefeated fighters on the card in me and Billy Joe Saunders.....then there's also James" and he just looked so angry!
