Not Wilder Lewis Wlad Tommy Hearns Joe Louis Bob Fitzsimmons All had better straight rights, Wilder's is more of an arcing right, or an overhand.
58 votes for Inoue 30 votes for Wilder Must be a few folk still not voted yet. Unlikely to be turned around in Wilder's favour at this stage.
When Wilder dropped Fury, he dropped a cagey, hard to hit clean champion level fighter who not only had the height advantage on him but also outweighed him by 43lbs. Im not sure people quite understand how little Wilder weighed in that fight. 43lbs would be like Golovkin dropping Usyk. That being said... I probably will still lean towards Inoue based on him being the more varied, skilled, and proficient puncher imo.
If we are talking about general punching then yes Inoue is the best puncher right now. In terms of raw and pure power the p4p Joe Smith Jr. Hits harder than Wilder. At least Wilder has speed, reach and height advantages over his opponents. I'd say even his technique is better than Smith. What other fighter besides Joe Smith has absolutely nothing going for him besides power and is still a top 10 ranked fighter in his division? Think about it...... Smith has nothing besides power, nothing.
You can't actually expect Wilder to win a poll on this board. Edit: A poll that doesn't denigrate him.
Regardless of the criticism Wilder receives on here, I would say the vote is accurate to what people genuinely believe.
Haha well I'm from the UK and I want Wilder to beat AJ. However I chose Inoue based on what I believe and that evidence is strong when you look at the manner in which he has desposed of his opponents. I started the thread because I was genuinely interested in what people thought and I believe it to be fairly accurate.
