Just for fighters who are active at the moment. As far as one punch KO artists go Edwin Valero, despite the level of opposition, has massive power. Cintron and Rafael Marquez, despite recent losses, are also big hitters. But I would have to go with David Haye overall. Any opinions?
Uh-oh. He might belong on the other thread, entitled "feather-fisted fighters". But no P4P puncher list is complete without "The Nigerian Nightmare" Sam Peter!:smoke
He can, but he doesn't very often does he? He stuns people and then is a brilliant finisher who piles on the pressure with accurate, hard shots and never lets up. I would say that Pavlik is one of the best if not the best finishers in the game, but P4P punchers, he is not in the top 5 for me. Very hard hitter indeed but it is usually a barrage of shots, and not one shot KOs. Ding is up there, obviously Valero. Haye is in with a shout of being in the top tier and then Cintron, Vasquez etc..and Miranda.
The names some people are mentioning are ridiculous. Valero's power hasn't been proven at all. Pavlik's one punch-power is nowhere near top 10. Miranda, Urango, Cintron, and Cotto are big punchers, but they're not top P4P punchers. Peter? Margarito? Haye is probably the hardest puncher in boxing right now (at CW). His one-punch power there is unbelievable and he's also shown power at HW when he fought there. Other fighters to mention are Arce at 112-115 (amazingly maybe even 118) and Rafa Marquez at 118. Ponce De Leon and Abraham also deserve to be mentioned.
