about 1/2 of that list are contenders. Anyone can name 15-20 contenders that robinson beat. Yeah you have actually seen guys like mcgoorty, blackburn, meehan, crouse, houck actually fight.

Sugar ray robinson is considered by most as the best and its cuz he has the best resume.

Your are basically couting no contests that you have not seen as wins, that is ****in cheap.

True, era for era is something I try to keep in mind as well, but often forget to. It's also why I rate head to head ability last in determining ATG status, to keep things in perspective.

  4. Not everyone can understand the perfect unity of mind and body that is Joe Calzaghe.

I've no doubt that Calzaghe tops the P4P ATG list for Wales.

Not bad for a principality that has produced the likes of quality champions such as Steve Robinson and Gavin Rees in recent years....

Yes, I have seen them fight, I have a collection of their greatest hits on DVD.

On a serious note, Robinson doesn't have a single win on the level of Gene Tunney, and wins like Walker, Loughran, and Gibbons are about as good as any on Robinson's resume. Robinson's best win is over Gavilan. Greb has two wins greater than that, and multiple wins over other top opponents as well.

in your opinion, they are greater wins, its all your opinion. Luoghran and gibbons on film dont have 1/2 the talent that gavilan does. How many blacks has greb beat, like two. And i'm sorry, but the amount of black fighters that you face, it matters. If 95% of you resume is white guys, it questions how you do head to head.

    My opinion>Your opinion

I think all questions go out the window when you're a Middleweight and you give Gene Tunney not just his only loss, but the beating of a lifetime.

Actually, Greb is usually considered to have the best resume by historians and the great posters in the classic forum.

SRR is considered to have one of the best resumes, but to be perhaps the greatest when considering his ability, dominance and resume.

Ezzard Charles has a greater resume than Ray Robinson.

haha, on top of that i noticed your giving a few draws as wins for greb, lol.

In many of his fights he would have been disqualified, half of his resume are no contests that some pittsburgh reporter wrote as a win for greb, o jeez, isnt that his ****in hometown, lol.

Greb got his ass kicked in the rematches, hes 1-3-1 against tunney. But o wait, the newspaper posts from his hometown want you to belive hes 3-2 or 2-3 against him. They also want u to belive hes 5-0 against loughran and won all 3 fights against tiger flowers.

P4p gavilan is usually considered on par with tunney and walker, hell many people rank him higher and robinson did start off as a lightweight, he was a ranked lightweight contender well before he became a 5 time middleweight champ.

Roy Jones jr was a natural middleweight that fought at light heavyweight, i'm positive he would have beat those guys. Thast the difference, all of his opponents were black, all of grebs opponents were white, except for 2 guys. Both of the black guys that greb fought, own victories over him.
