    POUND FOR POUND.

Even better that you've chosen big letters and yellow writing to illustrate that you can't read a thread title.

Hamed at MW would have McClellan/Benn type power, even more powerful really. Hamed would have murderous power at MW.

But he's quicker than them, harder to read than them, throws punches from weirder angle and has an unorthodox style to cope with....

    Hamed KO Jones P4P.

this may be the worse thread ever. Hamed was good, but he was no Roy Jones. Roy Jones is an ATG. Not only that, but Roy Jones is probably the most gifted fighter EVER. Hamed, not so much. Not too many people stand a chance against Roy in his prime.

Jones was used to himself being the unorthodox fighter, but he wouldn't be in this fight. Admittedly he's well above Hamed ability wise but you can't rule Hamed out entirely with his power. Does anyone remember how high up the P4P list Hamed was at his peak? I remember seeing a photo of Jones and Hamed together and i'm sure they were both on the list at this time.

Steady on. Hamed has a definite chance, yeah. RJJ never faced anyone with Hamed type KO power. He never faced Benn, McClellan or Julian Jackson. RJJ never faced anyone with remotely that level of power.

But I'd still favour RJJ based on his slightly superior speed and vastly superior defence.

If Tarver and Johnson could find his chin Hamed definitely could. Of course I acknowledge Jones was past his best at this point.

Exactly. Jones was very difficult to catch in his prime. He never faced anyone with Hamed type power though so we'll never know for sure how he'd have dealt with a genuine one punch KO artist.

Prime Jones was so special though. I think he'd have easily outboxed Benn, McClellan and Julian Jackson.

And if Hamed had been a middleweight / super-middleweight he'd have TKO'ed him in about 4 rounds. Probably.

I don't think he would have stopped the Prince, nobody else managed it.

The Prince never faced anyone of RJJ's calibre.

    RJJ starts as definite favorite.
