PBF has much sharper more well thrown shots, and has buckled and seriously hurt durable fighters with them in the past. He's a little underrated in punching power.

Zags threw harder in his early days than he did towards the end of his career but he always had a tendency to slap with his punches, which took away from their effectiveness. He was also more of a volume guy, more interested in overwhelming his opponents with his superior workrate, rather than landing those one or two perfect shots per round.

As stated above, Calzaghe was all about the volume and especially later on in his career did a lot of "slapping." I think he has more power than many suspect, but chose not to go the route which would show it. He shows power against prime Kessler, but I'm not too sure how much was left against Hopkins or Jones. At least something enough to make the old but nowhere near done Hopkins keep from throwing more blows.

Mayweather used to drop and stop people at will from 130-140. At 147+, he does not have the punching power among the top guys of the division. That said nearly everyone he has fought at 147+ has an iron chin and is not the kind of guy one is expected to stop. Iron chinned guys such as JMM, Baldomir, Oscar, Mosley plus Cotto and Zab have good chins and recovery as well. The guys he was expected to or should stop within the distance, Mitchell, Hatton, and Ortiz, he did.

  5. Joe Calzaghe easily, he put the iron jawed Chris Eubank down in the first round.

Floyd has never put that level of chin down, not even close.

    This

Calzaghe early in his career had much stronger hands. Later on his hands were made of glass, he had to be very careful in training and in fights not to hurt them. Anybody that can drop Chris Eubank had power, but it was really early on.

  7. When Mitchell dropped him, he got angry and threw with power again and ended the fight in the same round.

He had a lot of early KOs early in his career too.

Eubank was badly drained and underprepared

Kessler said that Joe is the only fighter to hurt him to the body, but I go Floyd as he really only is a natural super feather and he was spanking ass down there.

Hard to say, in the later stages both are known to be feather fisted, and in their early days both were known to have some power. I'd go with PBF despite being a huge calzaghe fan as he's fought in more weight divisons so probably has better power. Although I concede that calzaghe's glass hands could be responsible for his loss of power

Hard to say. Calzaghe did break his hands. So has Mayweather, of course. But he also injects himself with that xylocaine ****.

But because I dislike Calzaghe more, I'm gonna' say Mayweather.
