P4P: Harder puncher, Mayweather/Whitaker (147lbs)

    You are (obviously) correct in saying that. That's very obvious. Floyd is a defensive fighter who often counterpunches.

    However, my post was responding to someone who said "Mayweather has finished tons of fighters faster than supposed 'punchers'".

    I don't think he has.

    I think the Hurtado fight is proof that Whitaker is the harder puncher at ww. But that´s just me. Getting a young upcoming fighter out of there, who was never stopped and would get on to only be stopped twice again once against a big puncher and ones beeing past prime, while beeing past prime yourself is quite an achievement.

    Still waiting for "MrWonderful":)oops:) to justify this claim:

    Mayweather knocked out tons of guys way faster than supposed "punchers".

    both guys punched harder than their record showed. They were not one punch knockout punchers, but they hit so fast they rocked guys and that is why they could dominate all 12 rounds. I remember when Pernell fought Julio Cesar Chavez, I was surprised that his body punches were slowing down Chavez.
