Pound for Pound tito is a 3 division champion, Kosta could not compete at Welterweight.

Remember when Gary Shaw brought him in the ring after a Kosta fight?

    I never said they fought.

If you are saying a prime vs prime P4P, I would struggle to pick.

Tszyu has been prone to pressure fighters like Phillips and Hatton, but it must be said that both those fought like men possessed - whilst Tito suffered his fair share of KD's from punches lighter than the Tszyu straight right.

To be honest, I will sit on the fence :deal

Great fight... a LOT closer than many seem to be making out.

All these people saying Trinidad is too big for Kostya... fair enough in terms of H2H... but we're talking about P4P here, aren't we?

I still think Trinidad takes it. Possibly 2 out 3 if they fought a few times.

Per skill and boxing ability, Kostya has the decisive edge. But the size and power of Trinidad is too much to overcome. Tito would take this in an actual fight, but in a P4P fight, Kostya takes a clear decision victory.

Nice post... Although I think any decision would be close (even though a close decision can still be clear, just sayin')

Pound for pound Tito is a much greater fighter.

what are you going by ring accomplishments or ring ability? because even though tito won titles at different weights i would give ring ability and boxing skill to favour kostya more

We judge by accomplishments. Ability is too subjective, might as well just say who is your favorite fighter.

besides that prime tito at 147, the one who fought oba carr and Yory boy campas was a much different fighter then the one who fought winky, b-hop or Joppy. He moved, gave angles, good head movement and had a hell of a jab with great timing. he fell in love with his power by the time he got to HBO and was a different fighter. more of a straight stalker.

I believe Kostya is one of the most underated boxers of all time. He had great range, rythem motion and fluidity at his peak many have ever seen in Boxing and a complete arcenal of punches .He was well taught with great natural skills incuding great perifial vision and a great amount of courage. He was packaged perfectly.....God bless.....kenny weldon

Who gives a **** about how much ability 1 has, it's how you took those abilities and made your accomplishments in the ring...

Tito by FAR..........3 Division champion, unbeaten at 147 and 154 lbs., MUCH better resume than KT.

Kostya was never a welter and Tito is a big welter hard you compare both I agree with most of the fans Tito too much for the small Tszyu.

I agree...Boxrec lists both boxers like this:

    Tito - 5'11 72 1/2 reach KO % = 77.78

    Kosta - 5'7 67 reach KO% = 73.53

This means Tito has a 4 inch advantage in height and more than 5 inches advantage in reach. If that was't enough he is a bigger puncher and the type of fighter than comes forward.

As I said before...if you tell me Kosta is probably the best 140 lbs fighter in the last 10 years I have to agree...but he would have been at a disadvantage against Tito.
