I think this will be the best P4P listing at present:

    1. Pac
    2. JMM
    3. JC
    4. BHop
    5. Izzy
    6. Margo
    7. Mijares
    8. Wlad
    9. Dawson
    10. Donaire

People spend far too much time arguing about this. IMO the top four can legitimately be listed in any order.

I agree with the top 5, but Donaire isn't top 10 pfp or Vlad either.

not really Pacs resume is WORLDS APART from joe calzaghe.....

and B-hop cant really be above Calz since Calz beat B-hop....

and JMM resume is more impressive then Calz but he lost to Pac so he cant be above Pac

so in the end, it ends up having too look like

    Pac
    JMM
    JC
    BHOP

i almost reply with this same comment. even your first two words. pac has a solid hold at #1. rank 2~3 (or maybe 2~4) are interchangeable. but i would prefer jmm than calzaghe. though bhops win yesterday makes calzaghe look very good.

A fair number of people scored Marquez as beating Pacquiao. I've never understood how, in what is a subjective personal list, it make sense to base one decision on someone else's subjective views. So it would make sense for those people to have Marquez above Pac.

Some people had Hopkins beating Calzaghe. I disagree more with this one, but that may be partly my own biases. So they could justify having Hopkins above Calzaghe likewise.

To add into the mix, Hopkins and Marquez's wins since the above fights are more impressive than Pac's, and Calzaghe is yet to fight.

For all of the above, any personal preference of order for the four fighters is at least legitimately arguable.

Then Hopkins shouldn't be on the list if Roy Jones isn't, since Roy Jones beat Hopkins.

Basically, head to head doesn't decide the lists in such a cut and dry fashion. I'm not saying Hopkins should be over Calzaghe, but just that because Calzaghe beat Hopkins doesn't mean Hopkins can't be listed higher. The fact that it was a disputed (while not "controversial") decision also factors in.

You'll be surprised by the number of posters here that actually put Joe above Pacquiao...

yes thats right, thats why Roy Jones was on there...in fact in was #1, untill he kept losing and getting KO'd......just like if Joe starts losing while Hopkins is still winning, he'll drop under Hopkins

thats the only time that head to head doesn't matter

and honestly all the "i think joe really lost" or "i think pac really lost" doesn't matter in the least....at that matters are the results, thats why fights have judges to "decide" who the winner is

this is the same way Ring Magazine does there rankings
