One thing people underestimate or never bring up when discussing Mosley is how tough this dude is.

He mixes it with bigger Guys than Him...even against Forrest in the 1st fight a lesser guy would have been KO...he saw it out to the end.

He had no business being in the ring with Winky who dwarfed him but tried to stand Toe to TOe.

What a tough ombre...pure old school

I agree with the replies so far. Sure he is tough. As tough as they come.

What a shame he got involved in that steroid crap and will forever have that taint associated with him.

Steriods.....em...does that improve ability to take a punch...he sure didnt need them vs MArgarito.

Also Boxing is a purely anaerobic sport...Streroids will effect your ability to perform anerobically...if anything it would take away from your performace

Yeah, he took steroids for the hell of it. Not for any advantage.

Just randomly, out of the blue, thought "Hey, I'm gonna take some substances that could ruin my career! And I'm gonna do it for no reason whatsoever!"

So you started this thread to say how tough Mosley is, but ended up trying to prove that he is a moron?

Not quite true. One of the effects of steroids is a reduced recovery time, meaning that the user can have more hard consecutive workouts with less time needed to recover. Thats why streroids are used by endurance atheletes as well. Distance runners, and the Tour De France competitors, are all routinly tested for anabolics.
And, using steroids could increase the ability to take a punch as well, by making the neck and trapezius muscles stronger.

Anyone who will get embarrsed by a guy for 12 rounds but demand a rematch right away and do it with TWO different guys is one tough ****er.

Do you research. It's called blood doping. Makes your blood carry more oxygen, thus you can last longer, etc and in that vein. He did not take steroid to bulk up.

But Shanes been training for about 10 years in Big Bear and training up there can produce more red blood cells and obviously create more oxygen. Shanes never had a problem with stamina I know he outhustled Oscar late in that rematch but he did that in the 1st fight and he stopped Rivera in the 10th,Mayorga in the 12th,came on strong late vs Cotto, dropped Collazo in the 11th ETC. Shane didnt need any of that **** IMO.
