1. Mayweather 2. Hopkins 3. Rigondeaux 4. Mijares 5. Calderon 6. Pacquiao 7. JM Marquez 8. Wonjongkam 9. Ward 10. Donaire
How can I forget Ward?? I got it. 1. Mayweather/Hopkins 2. Hopkins 3. JM Marquez 4. Calderon 5. Ward No?
I think the ring IQ Cristian Mijares possesses is extremely underappreciated, very intelligent fighter. I might put him higher on my list actually.
lol... it's just my opinion. I think alot of Froch's success is based on how intelligent he is in the ring. He is defo not the most skilled or even the hardest hitter. He completely out thought AA and Pascal. Even with Jermain Taylor he was smart enough to grind him down and knock him out. Very underrated intelligence
Hopkins by far because how many times has he been the underdog and found ways to overcome bigger, faster or stronger opponents. Floyd has rarely done that because he never truly tested his limits in the ring.
anyone on the regular pound for pound list got there because aside from having solid skills also has a pretty high ring iq.
Hopkins truly is the guru. But like I said, he's the "All-time" definition of ring generalship. FLoyd is numero uno the last time he fought, but he's kind of semi-retired. So I was thinking to put them on my list but kind of at 2 and 3 just so they can be there. I think Nonito is a chess-player in boxing. Ward does show some "old school" veteran (dirty) moves. IDK if that translates to IQ Basically when it comes to Ring IQ, PBF, BHop and Toney always get mentioned. But what about the current active fighters?
reminds me of this [yt]cNj3SQwHDuU[/yt] obviously Hopkins and Floyd are at the top too, and Pac and Marquez as well. I think people need to open their eyes to what Pac does in the ring mentally. He reads his opponents like a book and reacts instantly
