1. Pacquiao 2. Hopkins 3. Mayweather 4. Mosley 5. Morales 6. Barrera 7. Wright 8. Marquez 9. Calzaghe 10. Casamayor The TOP 8 names pick themselves, you simply can't have a list without them. Only thing up for debate is the exact order. Numbers 8 & 9 are the only real choices. Calzaghe has a strong case, then its between Castillo, Casamayor and Corrales for the last spot.
I think 10 is the best place for him depending on performance enhancer results. Very suspicious indeed. :bart
Sorry but you are deeply caught up in the illusion. First top 9 are locks buddy. Not even close. :deal
He spent 2000-2003 (4 years as the number one fighter pound for pound. That's 40% of the decade as the top fighter. Surely that warrants a top ten. I have him at 4 for the decade, behind Pac, Mayweather and Hopkins. Keith
Someone could look at the ring p4p ratings for each year and apply a scoring system each fighter ranking for each year and come up with a official "ring" top 10 for the decade. Hatton for instance was top 10 for 4 years 2000 1.Shane Mosley 2.Felix Trinidad 3.Roy Jones Jr. 4.Oscar De La Hoya 5.Diego Corrales 6.Naseem Hamed 7.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 8.Lennox Lewis 9.Erik Morales 10.Bernard Hopkins 2001 1.Shane Mosley 2.Bernard Hopkins 3.Roy Jones Jr. 4.Marco Antonio Barrera 5.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 6.Felix Trinidad 7.Oscar De La Hoya 8.Ricardo Lopez 9.Kostya Tszyu 10.Erik Morales 2002 1.Bernard Hopkins 2.Roy Jones Jr. 3.Marco Antonio Barrera 4.Vernon Forrest 5.Oscar De La Hoya 6.Kostya Tszyu 7.Erik Morales 8.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 9.Lennox Lewis 10.Shane Mosley 2003 1.Roy Jones Jr. 2.Bernard Hopkins 3.Shane Mosley 4.Oscar De La Hoya 5.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 6.Manny Pacquiao 7.Kostya Tszyu 8.Erik Morales 9.James Toney 10.Antonio Tarver 2004 1.Bernard Hopkins 2.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 3.Kostya Tszyu 4.Ronald (Winky) Wright 5.Manny Pacquiao 6.Juan Manuel Marquez 7.Marco Antonio Barrera 8.Erik Morales 9.Glen Johnson 10.Antonio Tarver 2005 1.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2.Ronald (Winky) Wright 3.Marco Antonio Barrera 4.Ricky Hatton 5.Manny Pacquiao 6.Erik Morales 7.Juan Manuel Marquez 8.Rafael Marquez 9.Jose Luis Castillo 10.Zab Judah 2006 1.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2.Manny Pacquiao 3.Ronald (Winky) Wright 4.Jermain Taylor 5.Bernard Hopkins 6.Marco Antonio Barrera 7.Rafael Marquez 8.Ricky Hatton 9.Jose Luis Castillo 10.Joe Calzaghe 2007 1.Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2.Manny Pacquiao 3.Juan Manuel Marquez 4.Bernard Hopkins 5.Joe Calzaghe 6.Israel Vazquez 7.Miguel Angel Cotto 8.Ricky Hatton 9.Ronald (Winky) Wright 10.Rafael Marquez 2008 1.Manny Pacquiao 2.Juan Manuel Marquez 3.Joe Calzaghe 4.Bernard Hopkins 5.Israel Vazquez 6.Antonio Margarito 7.Rafael Marquez 8.Miguel Angel Cotto 9.Ivan Calderon 10.Ricky Hatton
Because Calzaghe appeared on p4p lists only after his win against Lacy. On the other hand, Hopkins was in top3 or top4 for almost the whole decade. I also had Calzaghe beating Hopkins, but I am quite sure that a 2001 version of Hopkins would have schooled Calzaghe.
Pac man was only in the p4p rating from 2004, guys like hopkins and mayweather have been for 10 years does that warrent pac at number 1?
You're quite right but it is hard to rate when you have MAB and Morales. Pac and Floyd are for sure the number 1 and 2.
pac has had a strong finish. top 3 are floyd b-hop and mosley. next pac. final 6 pick and choose out of conntenders such as odlh, barrera, calzaghe, morales etc.
1.Floyd mayweather 2.Bernard hopkins 3.Manny pacquiao 4.Shane mosley 5.Juan manuel marquez 6.Winky wright 7.Joe Calzaghe 8.Barrera 9.Morales 10.Roy jones and the fighter of the decade goes to floyd mayweather junior for being in the top 10 p4p since year 2000 until he retired but 1 fight, just 1 fight and he was back on top. Thats how great the guy is:good
