Manny gets beat in 2009 as well. How does beating Cotto and Hatton equal beating Floyd? Their styles are not similar to Floyd.

He is but not by much.

It's not like comparing apples and oranges. This isn't basketball where your comparing a small forward to a center. Floyd is a better fighter. It's pretty easy to see.

Pacquiao has the better names on resume, has the more decisive and devastating victories, and fights at the more aggressive pace. Mayweather has the better actual wins comparatively, has never lost while seldom showing weaknesses, and flashes the brilliant skill set rarely duplicated.

Neither and both. Reason I say this is the truth is both of their wins their making them bigger than they ought to be. Barrera and Morales were the top fighters, but when Manny fought them and beat them they were already on the slide. Same goes for Floyd when he beat Mosley and Oscar. H2h they just pale in comparison to other greats. Granted all greats get a gift decision in a fight they lost, but Floyd at least didn't leave doubts with Castillo. Manny on the other hand... Ali had his Norton. Norton wasn't a skilled counterpuncher, but he was in his prime and a beast even by todays standards a physical specimen. Norton wasn't going up 2 divisions and 38 yrs to go face Ali. I have to give Floyd more credit, but both are overhyped.

Yes. His record speaks for itself. Both amateur & pro. Raised boxing, right out of his crib with the heart and desire to be the best.

How does beating Hatton and Marquez equal beating Pacquiao? I like Pacquiao's style against Floyd, in 2009/10 I think he'd beat him.

Floyd being a better fighter is your opinion . What has he done to prove that he's a better fighter? Having an 0 his record isn't proof, and either is looking good for most of his career against C / B - level opposition.

floyd would have STILL toyed with him in 09' and Marquez would STILL have a competitive fight in 09'. aint nothin changed. anyone who thinks pac has dramatically declined since then is ******ed. Mosley and Marquez had completely different strategies then the punching bags pacquiao fought. as u can see they waited for a 38 yr. old Marquez for a reason. :yep

Your basing this off what , that Pac had a competitive fight with Marquez? You know Pac knocked out hatton in 2 rounds who took Floyd 10, and even shaved a couple of rounds from him right? You know he turned Oscar into a punching bag who took Floyd to an SD a year or so earlier.

Floyd couldn't / can't / wouldn't toy with Pacquiao, especially in 09, because if he would, he would have done it already , and wouldn't be making excuses about it.

It doesn't but if you know boxing then it's easy to see why Floyd wins. Even in 09-10, the majority of boxers were saying Manny losses to Floyd. Manny doesn't do well against movement and he is open to counter punches. Manny has problems with counter punchers and slick boxers. Floyd is both and has the natural gifts to match Manny. That fight is easy work and you know it.

Of course it's my opinion. My opinion favors most boxers, analysts, and people on this site. You know what Floyd achievements are. He has been one of the best boxers since 1998. **** people didn't even start sayingManny was greater/better than Floyd until 09. Floyd has beaten more world champs than Manny has in way less fights. IMO Manny has better names but Floyd has fought fighters that were more relevant when he fought them.

Some of you guys on here talk so much smack that you actually believe that you know something about boxing. When has Manny ever earned a purse larger than Mayweather. Never!!! How much is Manny making for his fight against Bradley and how much Mayweather making against Cotto. Then go see how much Manny got for the Cotto fight, and compare it to what Mayweather will make. Compare the Marquez fights and the Mosley fights, who made more. Manny will indeed get his biggest payday against Floys whether you guys want to admit it or not. Mayweather beat the man who was king. In order to be the man you have to beat the man and manny hasn't done this yet. He hasn't done it economically nor will he ever do it cause they won't fight Floyd.
