The HOF is already stained. Lesser fighters than Calzaghe have gotten in, and come on, Jose Suliaman just got inducted.

Which Hamed wins do you consider on the same level as Calzaghe's win over Kessler? I think Hamed's best win was Tom Johnson. Johnson was a little aged, but a longtime champ, something like a dozen title defenses, and the consensus #1 FW at the time. Hamed's achievements have gotten overlooked quite a bit, and he beat a good number of champs/contenders at 126, but I don't know about him having a whole load to Kessler-caliber wins.

We'll never really know about Calzaghe for sure. He spent his prime fighting has beens, nobodys and second raters. Not that he wouldn't have stepped up had his promoter been more adventerous, and his hand injuries less a problem. By the time he had high profile fights against Lacy and Kessler, he was already a bit past his best. But his performances in those fights give an indication of what he possibly could have done. But as it stands, there are a lot of guys throughout history in Joe's weight range that accomplished so much more. Billy Conn was around 168 in his prime and fighting heavyweights, just for one example. So, I'd rate Joe around 50 all time p4p, which is still pretty impressive.
Paq on the other hand , has competed on a high level against several future hall of famers (Morales, Barrera, Marquez) and his career isn't even over yet. Manny is already one of the best 20 ever , and if or when he fights Mayweather depending on the outcome, he could be rated higher by the time he retires.

As you say, Hamed's win over Johnson is about the same level as Calzaghe's win over Kessler. You could make a credible argument that it was better given what Johnson had achieved and the calibre of fighter that he was. The fact he was slightly aged is the only negative.

Other than that, Hamed's win over Bungu was better than Calzaghe's win over Kessler IMO. The Kelley win wasn't far off either.

calzaghe would have to come back and unify the cruiserweight and heavyweight division to have ANY chance of getting into the top 15 p4p.

He is within the top 150 in my opinion.

    Oh God,that list is terrible.:patsch
Anyway you should know that boxing existed long before the 90's so it ain't fair to do the ATG(ALL TIME greats) list based on the last 20 years.
Mine would be somewhere around these parts:
    Robinson
    Langford
    Armstrong
    Pep
    Ali
    Greb
    Duran
    Leonard
    Charles

It's not 'simple' at all. Hamed lost to a prime version of an ATG. Calzaghe never fought a prime version of an ATG. Hamed's Top 3 wins are as good, if not better, than Calzaghe's. IMO.

Anyway, I think you're an alias pretending to be dumb. So I'll leave it alone.
