I don't know why it is, but it is a fact that the higher divisions (SM and above) are pretty shallow in talent, while the lower divisions are well and truley loaded. At the higher end, the case seems to be that there are 3 or 4 top dogs, and the talent pool drops off pretty dramatically after that. While down lower there is ability going right down the ranks, and new talent emerging all the time. It is very difficult for lighter fighters to 'duck', or even get gimme fights, while the heavier fighters seem to have to constantly take fights that do little for their advancement. I attribute this as the reason why heavier fighters have more trouble getting P4P recognition.

    Thoughts?

Right now there is a plethora of talent at the lower weightclasses I could not say forsure but I would be willing wager is has to be on of the best era's for smaller guys ever.

Take the Super Bantamweight foe example it's loaded with talent and only 7 of the top 40 ranked fighter are above 30!
