Pound for pound, the Rock had more power and I believe landed more punches. Marciano wins by unanimous decision.
P4P Rocky has an edge in power and stamina. Basilio is the better boxer and arguably just as tough with just as much guts. Basilio may swell more while Rocky probably cuts more. I would pick Rocky by TKO. These P4P sort of things are almost impossible to determine/gauge though.
P4P, I think Basilio was better. As someone said, I think he was a bit more well-rounded and versatile.
I can't see Basilio getting stopped. He could be very elusive when he wanted/needed to, and had a rock for a jaw. I think Basilio would probably lure Rocky in in the earlier rounds and then start taking over the fight as it wore on, like against Demarco. Whether he could force Marciano to run out of gas or actually win the fight is another story. Probably Marciano UD.
