    Nice try bro... But

    longer than 2 years.
I'm not talking about Bernard's stamina, Chin or speed.
I'm talking about his overall punch output and counter first mentality.

Hopkins problem as a young fighter, Was his lack of aggressive punching.
He has always applied great pressure and could cut off the ring
but he was/is gun shy and would not throw enough (As in the Roy fight).

Yes but also Bernard had very good speed and wasn't always relying on counter punching as he does now, if you have seen enough of his fights you would see that very well. Hopkins was only recently gun-shy and as far as I noticed the majority seem to have forgotten about his past based on his decision to remain active at this age, when Bernard wanted to commit to punching he did that and in impressive fashion with really impressive accuracy. Just watch his fight with Glen Johnson, he threw A LOT and landed a lot in that fight, when he wanted to throw he did and in impressive fashion, decent power and very underrated speed.

For a person who has seen boxing for a long time you would honestly think that Margarito with his very predictable style and poor speed would seriously trouble someone in Roy Jones' skill which is basically legendary and extremely special?

What would Margarito offer that Jones would be troubled by?, when Margarito wants to throw and throw some serious punches he would have to position his self to do so, you think RJJ with his constant movement and activity would allow Margarito to be in such position during the fight?, that's laughable if you do. RJJ will land and will land SO much that I won't be surprised if this fight is actually stopped due to cuts or to how one-sided this fight will be, with Jones' insane speed and power at Middleweight he WILL be able to make Margarito think twice before charging in with his head wide open, when RJJ landed at Middleweight you really felt his punches and with his speed half of the power punches he will land will be punches Margarito WON'T see coming and those are the punches that hurt the most. Don't believe me?, just watch Margarito's battle with Santos, when Santos landed a solid punch when Margarito didn't see coming he was hurt and wobbled, you think RJJ won't put him in that position?, hell yes he would and it would be as early as the first round.

rjj's great power and ultra fast hands would have had a field day against margarito. he'd find his mark all the time and would have unloaded on margarito with impunity. would have been impossible for margarito to push him back, with the amount of leather coming his way. and if he did manage to come forward, rjj's insane foot speed would have made cutting the ring impossible for margarito. rjj KO inside 4

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

KO - 8 Rounds TOPS. Margo can be hurt. Don't let the Williams and Cotto fights fool you. P4P a prime Roy Jones will put his ass to sleep. Hands too fast. Too conditioned. Too much lateral movement. No contest

Watch Roy Jones vs Julio gonzalez for an idea of what a RJJ vs Margartio fight would look like in a p4p sense. Head to head not taking p4p into consideration Roy Ko's him pretty early.

This fight would be so unfair honestly I wouldn't even pay to see it. Jones would turn this fight into a comedy session.

    Jones was shot to ****.

Pressure is a freaking ******ed way to beat Jones unless you have a wonderful defence because of the fact he can move backwards and side to side faster than you can move forwards and his handspeed makes your's look are underwater.

Margo is slow predictable and he would get dominated, Cotto could outbox him for 6 rounds with speed.

    Roy would mess him up.

Hopkins used that strategy pretty much to a tee when he first faced Jones, and he got basically outclassed. A prime McCallum at MW would be an interesting bet to work that strategy though, given the limited success he was able to have at the end of his career well above his best weight.

Norris was nowhere near skilled enough. He had a glass chin himself(more proven in that sense than Roy, who was only hurt later in his career) and lacked the defense and ring generalship needed to get to someone like Roy without being KO'd.

Jackson had the punch certainly, but not the overall skill IMO, definitely not the pressuring ability to catch Jones with anything flush, and if he did get in close he'd be leaving himself open to counters all day which Jones would be more likely to expose. And again, his chin wasn't the greatest.

Barkley would be an interesting style matchup, but he just doesn't have the speed or class to deal with Roy. Too open and wide. A fighter like Barkley would be capable of taking out a late career Jones possibly, but not a prime version.

Jones would have a field day with McClellan, who was always open and off balance after throwing his signature right hand. Jones would have limitless countering opportunities unless he just got careless.

    Hagler is a good choice.

Margarito is far too open and wide, as has been said, he'd get countered to hell in the clinches. Jones destroyed an extremely strong pressure fighter and puncher like Merqui Sosa who implied a very similar startegy to the one Margarito would.
