At 130 or 135 Mayweather was a much more active fighter not to mention that he can switch things up from one fight to the next. He would be the agressor and since this fight would almost definatly go the cards I imagine that he would get the nod based on his agression.
I think it's more of a case that he just doesn't like Sweet Pea... Kinda sad if that's the case, and the Borjourquez fight is all he has to hate him on. Well, kinda sad for him. Kinda good, if your a Whitaker fan. Clearly though, he's never seen the fight.
It would be a weird fight both backing up during the fight But man Sweet pea was sick with his defense even as a old man he went 12 with TITO
I never said that. I said outside of the Corrales and Castillo II fights he never showed the lateral movement needed to beat a top notch pressure fighter. Castillo II is really the one good example, considering how un-skilled Corrales was at cutting off the ring.
Wow I'm surprised at the votes but I think Sweet Pea gets handed a beatdown by PBF at 135. At 135 PBF was a ****ing wrecking ball
There aint a single fighter in the history of boxing below 147 that would had Whitaker a "beatdown". Not even Duran. And please explain to me how Floyd was a "****ing wrecking ball" at 135? He had 4 fights at the weight. The first Castillo fight, which he arguably lost. The Castillo rematch, which Floyd clearly won, but which was a dull, unimpressive fight. The Sosa fight, which was one of Floyd's LEAST inspiring performances. And the Philip Ndou fight, which Floyd was awesome in, but lets be honest, Ndou was nothing special. Yeah, some wrecking ball. Pea by MD.

Yeah, Floyd was a wrecking ball at 135, which is why he arguably lost to Castillo and had another close fight with him where he was on the move the entire fight. Pea, by comparison, schooled Castillo's mentor and a far superior fighter in Julio Cesar Chavez, not to mention schooled a Castillo level fighter like Jose Luis Ramirez FAR more decisively than Floyd did. Pernell was linear champ and beat pretty much everyone there was to beat at the weight, and is considered one of the top 5 LW's of all time universally. Floyd, by comparison, arguably lost to Castillo, won the rematch, and then beat guys like N'Dou and Sosa. Yeah, what a "wrecking ball" Floyd was at the weight. Pea has no chance. ******.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, all that proves is how basic and pedestrian your knowledge of boxing is. Stay out of discussions until your knowledge has surpassed that of my dog.:good
