So do you guys think last night bumps Haye up any? That right hand is mos def dynamite, there's no denying that. But was his opposition quality enough for that KO to hold too much weight? Has Enzo's chin been dented like that before? Even if he has been down, that was a Berbick or Judah-like performance on his part. You guys think Haye's power will stay with him when he challenges the upper-eschelon heavies?
Yeah, couple of landed rights and the guy was sparked, couple of pin point straights and hooks and Mormeck was also sparked. The other top punchers listed really have been grinding guys down, Haye just has been landing a few bombs and sparking these guys.
Are there really any other true one punch KO guys in boxing besides Haye? Cintron comes to mind, but it sure takes him a while to get some of these stoppages. I'm not sure if I'd classify his as such. Ding seems like a concussive puncher with the left hook.
His speed would give him a huge advantage over a lot of heavyweights. I think he hits harder than everybody with the exception of Wladimir.
Miranda's a 1 punch guy, if he can land on you while driving you back, he generates no leverage on the backfoot. Ding's a 1 punch guy. Pavlik isn't, enough of that ****, he's just heavy handed and very efficient with his blows. Cintron is, but he needs full levarage, something pressure fighters don't give him. Same way Kostya was, he needed to get you on the end of the punch, not short punches for his real power shots, pressure guys don't allow it, note his 2 losses.:yep Valero in my opinion is also not a 1 punch guy, he's had to beat down some real limited opposition to get some TKO 8's and what not, he won't be stopping any top class. Ah! Jorge Arce is definitely a 1 punch KO hitter, if he lands fully flush, most guys go down. Check out that body shot KO at 118 of Rojas, a guy that Penalosa couldn't put a dent in, but who KOed Gonzalez by a body shot, same Gonzalez who took a bunch at 122 from Israel Vasquez.
His right hand would have connected flush in the 1st or 2nd and he would have put Maskaev away. Peter looked about as fast as a 60 year old man last night.
I'm interested to see how his chin holds up at heavyweight. Could he have the Cotto at 140 problem? Maybe the increase in weight will help him take a better shot.
I hope so. I just want all of these HW's that won't put the dedication in to pay for being fat and therefore slow. This includes the ridiculous overrating of Ruslan Chagaev..
He seems to have close fights with everybody, except Skelton in which he was relatively unimpressive. However, I'd pick him over Peter.
