i'd say it will read Pacquiao and mayweather will not be in it as the loser of their bout will fall from the rankings and the winner will retire......thats just a guess tho if the bout actually happens.otherwise it may read as follows 1.Mayweather/pacquiao 2.Martinez 3.Ward 4.Donaire 5.Khan 6.Lopez 7.Jmm 8.Wlad 9.Froch 10.Pascal note that this is NOT my p4p list but instead the one i think will the general consensus come next year your thoughts?
At first eyesight I see 2 problems here: 1) Ward probably wont be top 3 unless he beats Abraham, Froch and Bute next year. We know that Ward/Abraham and Ward/Froch is gonna happen and that Ward has a good shot winning over both of them. But those alone doesn't put him in the top 3. He'll have to beat Bute aswell. Also it makes zero sense to put both Froch and Ward in the future p4p top 10 because one of them are going to lose next year, and the one who does that will NOT be in the top 10. 2) There's a good chance (fingers crossed) that Wlad/Haye will happen next year and that Wlad will win the fight. Along with the Haye fight I can easily see Wlad taking 1 or 2 more fights in 2011. If he wins all of them, hell he should easily be p4p top 3-5 :blurp
1. pacquiao 2. mayweather 3. donaire 4. gamboa 5. martinez 6. j.m. marquez 7. rigondeaux 8. j.m. lopez 9. ward 10. bradley
I agree with your list, particularly with the top 5. It's based on the following scenarios: * Mayweather does not fight next year. Pac wins his two fights. * Martinez continues to win against top opposition (Pirog) * Ward wins the S6 and against Bute * Donaire wins against Montiel and the bantam tourney winner * Khan wins against Maidana and winner of Bradley/Alexander
I think we are going to experance a major change in the top 10. There are a lot of good young boxers ready to make their move in 2011.
These Euro-level athletes are the future of the sport. This is my current and, in all likelihood, future p4p list. 1. Zsolt Erdei 31-0 (wins over Oleksandr Garashchenko and Yuriy Barashian) 2. Viacheslav Senchenko 30-0 ( recent win over Volodymyr Khodakovskyy) 3. Sebastian Zbik 30-0 (wins over Aliaksandr Shnip and Siarhei Navarka) 4. Serhiy Dzinziruk 37-0 (wins over Ruslan Akhmedzonov and Alexander Zhorzholiani) 5 .Selcuk Aydin 21-0 (wins over Vitali Martynau and Rastislav Kovac) 6. Alexander Frenkel 23-0 (wins over Tomislav Juric Grgic and Vladislav Druso) 7. Ruslan Provodnikov 17-0 (wins over Abdulaziz Matazimov and Vadim Sufiyanov) 8. Mateusz Masternak 21-0 (wins over Dmytro Sharypov and Alex Mogylewski) 9. Pawel Kolodziej 26-0 (wins over Oleksandr Subin and Ladislav Slezak) 10. Maksym Bursak 21-0 ( wins over Volodymyr Borovskyy and Sergey Gribkov)
Dec 7 2011, this is my prediction 1. Mayweather (after beating Pacquiao) 2. Martinez 3. Bradley (He beats Alexander and Khan) 4. Donaire (beats Montiel) 5. Marquez 6. Ward (beats Froch next year) 7. Juan Manuel Lopez 8. Gamboa (beating Chris John) 9. Chad Dawson (beats Pascal in rematch) 10. Cotto (beats Margarito) I know I'm guessing a lot, but this is just a prediction right. Also Pacquiao retires after Floyd beats him in November
"Pretty Boy" Floyd 'Money' Mayweather Andre "S.O.G." Ward Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley Wladimir "Dr. Steel Hammer" Klitschko Andre "Mike" Berto Yuriorkis "El Ciclon de Guantanamo" Gamboa Juan "Dinamita" Marquez
anything can happen but Paquiao will probably still be at #1 next year, El Canelo will probably make that list anywhere between #7-#10 and still remain undefeated when the year ends unless he gets a big fight vs Pacman. Right now I think he needs to beat Chavez Jr which will be pretty easy if chavez decides to stop dodging the fight and then he'll have a shot at Cotto for his stepping stone towards paquiao and that can land him in the top 5 since everyone knows that getting a shot at paquiao from now on has to be someone in the top 5 category
