I got this from another site that shall remain nameless; 1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Nonito Donaire 3. Sergio Martinez 4. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 5. Bernard Hopkins 6. Juan Manuel Marquez 7. Carl Froch 8. Andre Ward 9. Timothy Bradley 10. Wladimir Klitschko
Really it got deleted for that? that seems harsh. Again, my top 10: 1.pacman 2.martinez 3.donaire 4.marquez 5. wlad 6.hopkins 7. vitali 8.gamboa 9. bradley 10.ward Floyd shouldnt be ranked till he beats ortiz, 1-5 are clear with maybe people having sergio and donaire switched and 6-10 usually are different.
Its not fair to the other boxers, and when he didnt have a fight scheduled a year after beating mosley he logically gets dropped from the ranking because you dont know if/when he will fight again. Once he beats Ortiz he is back so it doesnt matter much to him.
I think it's fair to leave him out now. Inactivity asside since retiring at the end of 07 he's had 2 fights, against an old guy and one coming up 12 pounds, and about to have another against a decent fighter but nobody particularily special. He has a good resume overall but enough recently to keep him in the top 10, all divisions, worldwide? I personally don't think so.
