What's your P4P duckers list? 1 - Roid Jones Jr - Ducked a huge list of boxers including Collins, Eubank, Michalczewski and more. 2 - Wilder: Ducked Charr, Thompson, Chisora twice, Price and Fury 3- Stevenson: He's got poo stains in his pants at the prospect of ever facing Kovalev. 4 - David Haye - Ducked Klitschko, Charr and Fury twice. 5 - Mayweather - SHAMELESS cherry picker 6 - Andre Dirrell - Another shameless coward. 7 - Bernard Hopkins - Ducked Calzaghe like a ***** in 2002. Has been a few other cases of ducking from him. 8 - Amir Khan - Another cherry picker who ducked a fair bit during the early stages of his career. He has improved though which is why he's so low down. I will finish this later. But here we have the top 8 so far of duckers p4p in boxing.
Forgot abour Quillin. That man is bricking it at the prospect of facing GGG. He can take place #8 and I'll throw in Andre Fraud at place #9 with Khan been bumped down to #10.
contemporary : 1) Floyd 2) Donaire 3) Wilder 4) Povetkin (aside from 1 big payday which he also postponed as much as possible) 5) Chavez Jr. (will be out of here only after if he ever fights Golovkin) 6) Ward (never leaving hometown) 7) Khan (does not avenge losses) 8) Stevenson 9) Yoan Pablo Hernandez 10) pretty sure there are not a few Jap / Thai / AzN fighter 2 chose from All time (but not extremely ancient) : 1) Floyd 2) Jones Jr. 3) Orlando Canizales 4) Ray Leonard (either fought drained or shot opponents under his own terms , or lost) 5) Eusebio Pedroza 6) Lennox Lewis 7) Chavez Sr. (during his reign) 8) Larry Holmes (during his reign) 9) Chris John 10) Bernard Hopkins (which is why : 1) he is still able 2 fight 2) he still has 2 fight)
Some say certain fighters "duck" others based on sending low ball offers. Khan wouldn't raise his 1.4 M dollar offer to Bradley when Timmeh wanted more... I don't think it's a "duck" worthy of discussing but some might. As for Hopkins, Chad Dawson and the public called for that fight for several years. When it finally happened, Dawson pretty well dominated Hopkins (after the charade shoulder injury in fight I).
1. Donaire? Who has he ever not fought in his divisions, haha? He stepped up to the plate and fought Rigondeaux when everyone wanted but did not expect him to. 2. Never leaving hometown qualifies fighters? Then many fighters are tied with Ward at #6 on your list. Ward has fought a gauntlet of opposition, including Froch in New York. 3. What has YPH's resume done worse than any other top cruiserweight over the last couple years? 4. Pretty sure you can't name a "Jap / Thai / AzN fight 2 chose form" because if you could, you would have! And your rationale would be just as bad as the rest of yours if you tried to look one up to cite...
1) Donaire fights handpicked opponents barring 1 or 2 exceptions. 2) Ward fought a gauntlet of opponents indeed. Usually in his hometown or @ worst @ his motherland. Fighting a severely drained desper8 4 a fight Dawson especially does not count. cheating by butting Kessler also does not count. 3) YPH's resume is worse than: Guillermo Jones, Ola Afolabi, Marco Huck, Steve Cunningham and these are just very recent CWs. I can name others from the past. However that is not Y i included him in dis list. I included him 4 being a Germany fighter whose afraid of fighting outside of it. 4) The world and I do not care about them so I did not bother picking 1 outstanding Jap/AzN ducker. But they do occupy them meaningless titles.
