the weight difference is too large here. Changing either guy to fit in the others weight class would render either useless. I mean, a 130 Mayweather didn't even fight like the 147 version. dumb thread..
The big question is how many 25+ pounds bigger elite fighter in their absolutely prime has Mayweather faced and schooled in back to back matches? Also how exactly Floyd will look at CW or HW ????
I’ll go with the guy that unified all 4 belts in one division. Something one of them never did. I’ll take the guy that has won all of his belts on the road in hostile environments. Something one of them never did. I’ll take the guy challenging himself fighting men 20lbs heavier than himself without restrictive weight clauses. I’ll take the guy trying to fight the best immediately and not 5 years and brutal knockouts later.
Floyd was a big fan of the weight restriction clauses. That’s why he avoided Winky. Usyk doesn’t have that luxury and has to beat guys who are much bigger and heavier than he is. Both are super talented but I have more respect for Usyk for doing something no other fighters are doing in modern boxing. Ask Canelo how difficult it is to beat a guy one weight class higher. Usyk just beat a guy significantly bigger, stronger and heavier than he is. Canelo was schooled by Bivol, a guy much closer to Canelo’s size. And Usyk has done it in the other guy’s backyard in almost every fight. Floyd was Vegas exclusive, a town that gladly overlooked his PED use and one that offered “friendly” judges and refs. Usyk will fight anyone anywhere.

If Usyk was welterweight, Pretty Floyd would blitz him with punches à la Gatti. Floyd would take this fight because he can smell a mismatch in his favor a mile away.
Usyk would either have CW/HW power as a welterweight, or Roy Jones+ speed as a welterweight. Either way too much for Floyd to overcome.
