    Calzaghe makes my list, he was a great fighter & the arseholes on here arent even worth listening to.... however, Morales & Barrera IMPO were more skilled fighters & fought in tougher divisions their entire careers, they rank higher on my list.

    Tyson`s best was more than 20 yrs ago, so was Chavez & Whitaker`s to be fair but they were still good enough to make the list from 91 onwards, Mike was not.

    Nice to see Morales over Barrera, some dumbasses have Barrera around 5 or 6 & Morales not even on their list :nut

    Ps. Id definitely have both over Lewis tho :thumbsup

    A tier system is better than individual placings IMO. It's easier to group fighters than it is to argue with any real conviction who should rank higher between two guys ranked terribly closely together, such as Barrera & Morales, or Trinidad & Marquez & Wright, or Tszyu & Calzaghe.

    I always had Barrera slightly above Morales up until the last year or so, when I re-scored Barrera vs Morales 1 and realized that the "Barrera won easy" thing was a complete myth and fabrication. Also, Morales's performance vs Maidana meant something. He just shouldn't have been able to do that at this point in his career.

    Anyway, I'm glad we agree on that Bill, but I still think you have no justification for ranking Calzaghe above the likes of Lewis, Toney, Mosley and Marquez, none at all.

    Also, if Chavez makes your list for the 1991-2011 time period, then why doesn't Evander Holyfield and Mike McCallum? :huh


    Chavez won his first world title in 1984, and was clearly past his prime by 1994.

    Holyfield won his first world title in 1986, stopped Michael Moorer in 1997, and had his megafights with Lennox Lewis in 1999.

    McCallum won his first world title in 1984, and was still winning lightheavyweight world titles fights as late as '94 & '95.



    I know you love to shoehorn your man Joe Cal in anywhere he will fit, but by your own criteria you have no choice but to punt him for two considerably superior fighters here. :deal
