I replied to this when you first raised it about Foster giving Ali a hiding as amateurs. It NEVER happened I gave details of Fosters amateur wins and competitions and contrasted them with Ali's. YOU NEVER REPLIED.
Just as you NEVER REPLIED to my post about Dempsey being cleared of ALL CHARGES,of Raping prostitutes and pimping This proof exonerating Dempsey was in the last Uk edition of the RING Magazine ,in a lengthy article. So now we have three statements from you without any evidence or proof, two of which have been emphatically disproved.
The least you could do is admit you were wrong about Dempsey and the Foster /Ali stories.
When you assert that a man who is now dead and unable to defend himself ,was a professional ****** without any evidence ,and justify saying it because you "heard it somewhere " ,then are subsequently proven to be totally wrong ,I think you should retract your statements.
Word of mouth doesn't cut it.
You post some good threads ,but also have a history of fanciful lurid fairy stories, time to make a retraction I think.

It had taken Fitz a whole lot of time to KO a past-prime welterweight.

Are you implying I make these things up in my spare time? :huh

Both stories I've heard either elsewhere or here to begin with, at which point I repeated them as they weren't said by throw away posters.

It's great that Dempsey was legally cleared of breaking in prostitutes at brothels but OJ Simpson was cleared of murder as well. What passes in the court of law for the rich in famous isn't exactly the actual reality most of the time.

Joe Louis knocked people into next week. He broke one of Schmeling's vertebrae in the 2nd fight. Pound for Pound or whaterver, Joe Louis could punch.

I dont doubt you heard these stories somewhere.I never implied you were a liar.
I beleive you should be man enough to concede that you repeated them without going to the trouble to ascertain whether there was any truth in them.
Calling a man a professional ****** on an open website is pretty serious dont you think?
Dempsey has daughters and grand children, it isnt a nice thing to read about a relation is it especially as it hasnt a word of truth in it.
I think you should admit you were wrong to post it and retract it .
    I would .
The ball is in your court young man.:deal

So? What fighter hasn't taken time to KO someone, somewhere along the line?

If he hit as hard as some are saying, a shell of Dempsey wouldn't last so long, with so many knockdowns, truely great puncher would have settled it quickly, if he were landing as often as Fitz did that day.

Wilde, Langford, Jackson. Louis, Maher would be my picks. Not Fitz, he was good and very clinical but hardest p4p? Bob Foster also a tad overated IMO otherwise Mina, Jones, Folley etc would have folded.

Well Fitz was sparking guys that Jeffries was taking a long time to stop.

Somtimes with a puncher like that a small defensive fighter will last longer than a large slow moving fighter who is easier to hit.

Manny Paquiao is a case in point.

Ive had a look at Maher's record ,he must have had some serious power ,an early Satterfield perhaps?
