    Is this guy slowly becoming one of the elite trainers out there? He's got quite a good thing going for him in the boxing rich town of Oxnard California. I like his current stable of fighters right now, fill in any I'm missing and your thoughts on him as a trainer:

    Sergio Martinez
    Javier Fortuna
    Gabriel Campillo
    Magomed Abdusalamov

    The shades is an homage to his brother Gabriel. I think it was Sampson who told Gabby after he was hassled about being with Team Martinez en route to a fight to wear sunglasses. "That way, no one will mess with you. You'll look like you belong." Weird logic but Gabby did it from then on. Pablo wears them now as a tribute to his brother who is in jail I believe back in Spain.

    Mago is not with Ortiz' trainer. He is with the Sarmientos.

    That training up there is brutal. Very up tempo and in synch with each other. They all train together and go through the same drills at the same time. He's got quite a few fighters up there.

    Danny Garcia was in Mago's corner last night. I believe that change was made in May.

    Just checked in with Mago's promoter. Apparently Pablo had no time for Mago and the language barrier was just too much. Pablo speaks no English and Mago's is not very good at all.

    Garcia is not going to fix any of the technical flaws of Mago.

    true...but he might get a big payday if he keeps beating up these guys....might get a shot at one of the klits since there is absolutely no ****en comp right now.......
