what's this schooling i keep reading in this thread? even for discussions sake pac lost the fight by two at most points that wouldn't count as being schooled in any way, the 1st & 2nd fight were both too close to call any which way.

in calling both fights a schooling is just a desperate way of making excuses for something that hasn't gone the way you wanted it to be. the judges called the fights and both fights are already in the record books so stop crying....

    MOVE ON!

PAC vs JMM will always draw the crowd! even if it reaches PAC vs JMM VII.... it will always be exciting, unpredicatable..etc..

Point is, JMM isnt getting any younger and so does PAC. While PAC has the advantages of getting fights (still competitive and with good money) at the higher weight divisions, it will contribute more to his legacy and at the same time secure him when he retires. The same can be said about JMM if he decides to fight on. Problem is, it wont be as big if it was with PAC.

Arum is not interested at the moment for a trilogy, He wants the bigger players, and he will maximize what PAC still has to offer.

Aiming for tougher competition definitely doesnt make you a coward.

Moving on instead of crying for another fight will be best for JMM

@divac, if you really want a third fight between pac and jmm to happen in the immediate future, you are definitely barking up the wrong tree here. threads like this will maybe be more effective in provoking a clamor for this fight at the lion's den itself, pacland, pac's own website.

pac definitely listens to his die-hard fans there. after the pac-barrera rematch, news that arum was arranging a david diaz fight @135, didn't sit well with pacland fans who wanted pac to finally fight jmm again and get the championship belts @130 for his legacy before moving up to 135. so large was the clamor for this fight at pacland that pac went against arum's own plans and convinced his team that the jmm rematch was the fight he really wanted.

so, if you want this third fight to happen, you would have to somehow convince pac's own die-hard fans at the pacland forums. they're probably the only group of people pac listens to aside from his team of course. good luck in trying though. who knows. maybe what you're trying to do on this thread might work with them.

divac, agent provocateur for jmm... :hey

basically, you are getting the situation now. marquez really has little to no choice. but if he wants to be considered sooner, might as well get a 135 belt. if you feel that 135 is a big jump for marquez if pac is not the opponent, then he can either get valero or even better guzman's belt at 130.

that is a sincere advice for marquez cause i feel that the only fight that he wants is pac. what if pac and his camp didn't want to fight marquez sooner because hatton accepted a pac fight after pac beats diaz? marquez should not waste his skills and fight any boxer that is not named pac as of the moment.

divac, i'm with you back then when we demanded a marquez rematch for pac instead of a diaz fight. i want a marquez fight back then because of the 130 belt and to prove who is the better fighter. i got 1 of 2. pac got the belt but he did not established that he is a much better fighter head-to-head. now, i understand your frustration as a marquez fan. marquez was given a chance but he did not deliver convincingly.

so is the end of this thread and the end of your crying, I am a fan of both fighters(more of a pac fan though) but seriously you need to put it to rest. I was one of the majority clamoring for a 2nd fight after their rematch, and we got it already. JMM had his chances, he did win in my eyes but not in everyones eyes. Especially the most important eyes which belong to the judges

You get my assurance that I'll back you up if some pac fans would say that JMM should prove himself first at 135lbs before he shoud fight pac!

However it would be nice if pac gets past diaz and fights casa or campbell while JMM fights casa )in case pac fights campbell.

if both fighters snatches the belts of both campbell and casa. its a MEGA BUCK FIGHT if they meet again for the III time.

There will be more at stake. Pride and Belt is at stake!

Its obvious that JMM would like a third fight with Pac, but contrary to popular belief among Pac fans, I as a JMM fan am not demanding it.

Pac I dont believe will fight JMM again until he has another loss on his record, and JMM all of a sudden becomes the only money option for him.

....it may turn out for the best for JMM......

......sure it would be nice for JMM to rightfully have a win in the record books vs Pac.....but to tell you the truth, I think it would take a Calzaghe like performance against Lacy, for the judges to side with JMM.

I believe that JMM can turn in the same performance he did in fight one without getting dropped in the fight, and the judges would still find a way to rule in favor of Pacquiao (Harold Lederman of HBO surely did, he had the first fight scored 7-5 in in rounds in favor of Pac:patsch ..as did one of the official judges.:patsch :patsch

....see what I mean about JMM's chances to get a fair shake against Pac??:-(

.....short of a first rate beatdown the caliber of Calzaghe vs Lacy, JMM's chances at a fair decision are pretty slim if you ask me.

.....and even though JMM wants a third fight with Pac, the best thing for him may be to fight one of the other champions at 130 lbs.
....or acclamate himself and get a good payday by disecting Juan Diaz in grand fashion at 135 lbs!

In many boxing fans eyes, JMM clearly proved the better fighter against Pac twice, so it really is'nt a must that JMM fight Pac again for legacy sake.....Hopefully GBP's lines some great fights other than Pac to seal JMM's career.:bbb

I'm beginning to believe that divac is the Japanese "friend" of JMM. He just can't let go of JMM. He feels the pain of JMM. How can we help you soothe the pain, divac? Sharing your anger and frustrations in this forum is a good start.

Divac, who do you want JMM to fight next other than Pac?

What would be your opinion about him if he fights Baloyi next?

I've never heard of Baloyi to tell you the truth.....

......an aging fighter should stay clear from quick running boxers.....a few weeks back, I would have said that Guzman would be the last fighter that I'd want JMM to fight.....
.....but JMM showed me something more than even I thought he had when he rematched Pac.
I did'nt think JMM would match Pac's speed, as I had noticed some diminishment in his quickness and speed in the last few fights prior to the Pac rematch.

JMM and team had said prior to the Pac rematch that they were paying particular attention to train and get JMM's speed and quickness to maximum level.....that they had slacked on that dept. in order to involve JMM in crowd pleasing fights.

.....usually you witness the diminishment of a fighters capabilities and you take there excuses with a grain of salt, and although I felt there was some truth to what the JMM camp was saying, I also thought that age was factor.

.....in any regards, what the Pac rematch showed me was that JMM can still bring speed and quickness, who would have thought that he'd be faster than Pac, and that he'd repeatedly beat him to the punch?

......the point I'm trying to get to is that if the Guzman fight is going to materialize, JMM still has the quickness and speed enough not to get overmatched in that dept vs Guzman....

.....so if the Guzman fight is going to happen, I'd think this fall if a third fight with Pac does'nt materialize would be the fight I'd want to see JMM in.

Thats right Patsy's, as a JMM fan I'd welcome a Joan Guzman fight, although it may not be the fight the JMM team would want if the money is'nt right!

When you take a risk like Guzman, its payday time, and I dont know if GBP is willing to pay JMM for the true risk that is Guzman.

Damn Juan Diaz had to go get his butt kicked by Campbell.....Juan Diaz I feel would have been a great styles matchup fight that would favor JMM, and it would have been a jackhammer in Manny Pacquiao face that JMM would fight Juan Diaz while he fought the paper champion in David Diaz......plus it would have been a matchup worthy of PPV ........its too bad that did'nt work out!
