To me it's becoming apparent that both fighters are playing a waiting game- Floyd is waiting for someone to expose a flaw in Pac's game, Pac is taking tune ups that won't expose anything new to wait for Floyd to step up. At this rate, either Pac will lose to a fighter that he will be the favorite in, or both will be too old to garner interest, with Floyd being the older one, and Pac not too far behind but still ineffective due to his style.
:rofl Way to twist my words around, but whatever floats your boat. In a broader context, both are wasting time ultimately.
Floyd's the only one waiting for whatever excuse he comes up with from day to day. PAC on the other hand is done waiting from what it looks like. He continues to fight while Floyd continues to spiral out of control by choosing NOT to fight. PAC vs Floyd is no longer realistic unfortunately.
Really, take away your bias, be objective and it' easy to comprehend what is really happening here. There's still hope. As I said last year 2011 is our last chance for a most terrific fight.
I'd bet my house that Mayweather is absolutely not sitting around going "I hope somebody exposes a flaw in Pac's game or else I'm not going in there." He's seen the flaws.
You completely ruined your whole post, with the above comment. Pac has almost too many flaws to mention.
Take the point on face value and I think it says more about the sport than it does about the two best p4p fighters in it. You have matchups dictated by promoters and television compaines with rival agendas. None of those agendas are to advance the sport of boxing, it is to advance the flow of $$$ into their respective bank accounts. Use the UFC as a comparison point - Do you think if GSP and Anderson Silva were in the same weight class we'd be waiting this long or putting up with bull**** moves at the negotation table by both parties? The fight would have been on and done or someone would have been stripped and or fired and fighting somewhere else. The alphabet gangs are pretty useless with the amount of catchweight fights going on - Which is half the reason I think Sulaiman created the diamond championship belts - So the WBC could try extort some sanctioning fees from those who don't follow the traditional path. This whole situation is just the ultimate example of the crippling lack of governence in the sport.
