It hasn't happened because BOTH of them are being a bunch of divas...Then you have Arum's ***** ass in the mix as well.

Reason is they both make to much money even fighting lesser fighters so no need to risk it, and Manny listens to Arum to much!!!

 

Getting right down to it..Pac does not make more than a 7.5 guarantee per fight at best...We can assume that he makes no more than 12.5 more with PPV buys for a total of 20 million. In relation to this, Floyd was guaranteed 10 million for De La Hoya, and with PPV buys, he received an additional 16 million for a total of 26 million...Oscar and Floyd split a purse of 78 million.

Floyd did 45 million with Ortiz and 40 million with Shane Mosley. Floyd IS going to break the purse record (set by Oscar at 52 million in 2007) in his next fight with Cotto.

So it's Pacquiao...Pacquiao turned down a career high 40 million to make 20 million at best...that is a duck right there.

After hearing Bob Arum say Pac was willing to fight Marquez again on may 5th when he thought Floyd going to jail...then when floyd sentenced is push back to honor his contract all of sudden Manny has a cut so he can't fight may 5th...or even the stadium Arum wants to build....that pretty much sealed it for me as to who the blame was on.

Floyd took the pressure off of TR when he made it public that he wasnt giving 50/50. To most casual fans this was just another excuse to not fight Manny. Even though I am a Floyd fan when I first heard this I thought why not just give Manny 50/50. But if the numbers are true about the huge disparity in the take home purse for both fighters then Floyd is just being a smart business man. He is in fact the PVV king.

From day 1 though Ive been iffy of Team Manny ever since first denying the drug testing. Even though they later agreed to it the fact that it was ever an issue worried me, a guy with about 4 tattoos definitely is not afraid of needles so those excuses were just bs to me.
