At the same time, why should Manny be comfortable in allowing Floyd to make 20-30 million dollars off PPV's that HE IS JUST AS responsible for generating?

It doesn't matter how much Manny makes with Top Rank. . . It matters how much each fighter brings to the table for the fight. . .

Floyd, and Manny both deserve the 65-75% cut (probably more than that) against guys like Margarito, Ortiz, Mosley because they are actually responsible for that much of the revenue. . . Basically, Floyd wants to take MORE REVENUE than he would be responsible for generating.

How was it going to be worked out when Floyd clearly isn't budging on this issue? You know Pac or Arum would never accept an offer like that, so why would it have made any difference?

Bottom line this fight isnt ever happening if Floyd stays with his demand. That's the roadblock holding the fight up. But apparently everything in your world is arums fault. At least Arum never tried to price Pacquiao out of the fight.

Anyway, its fukin inexcusable for Floyd to be comin out with this after 3 years of bull****, you know it , everybodys knows it. He has 0 grounds for making this demand either.

:deal This is what these pre-schoolers don't understand.

And there is no evidence either about how much money Floyd's actually making. He claimed he made 60 mill against Mosley, which has to be bull****. All these figures come from his own mouth, not any official sources.

You ever stop to think that Floyd might have just said, "**** it I had my people contact Bob and he is talking all this bull****, so let me call Pac and offer him 40 million since his ass isn't making anything close to that."

By the way we can't ignore the fact that Arum said this fight would not happen even with a 50/50 split. I know you guys like to blame him for everything but you can't deny the fact that they all are to blame.

Lol. . Mayweather is not a "super marquez". . . Marquez has a different style - he takes more risks, and he counter punches in combinations, staying in the pocket longer. . . Mayweather vs. pacquiao presents a lot of different dynamics. Moreover, Marquez had been 24 rounds with Pacquiao before. . .

If it was that easy, Floyd would jump at the chance to beat Manny, and make a career high payday. .

It has to do with his ego, and him wanting to be in control. . .

I agree. . . ANd I slammed Manny for not taking the fight hten. . . And I'm slamming Floyd for not taking the fight now, not trying to justify it.

Im not gonna dig it up, he said it on video . I think it was 24/7.

I don't even believe he made 40 mill against Ortiz. These numbers are inflated, and probably aren't factoring in taxes and **** he has to pay off. If Floyd's making the kind of money he claims to make he'd be in retirement right now, obviously he keeps comin back for the money. And he's always have money issues too.

As far as manny's income, at least you have official sources there, from HBO, Top Rank, ESPN, who have reported PPV #'s / earnings. Basically I dont know exactly how much he makes, but I know he makes a hell of a lot more then 7-10 mill or whatever u tards come up with.

How can you slam Floyd for not taking the fight now. Lets look at the facts regarding this.

1.Manny fought Marqeuz and many people including guys that are in his camp thought that Marquez won.

    2. Floyd gave Shaefer and Ellerbe the green light to begin negotiations with Top Rank and Manny.

    3. They received notification from the mediator that Top Rank wasn't interested in making the fight and would pursue a 4th Marquez fight.

    4. Shaefer continued to contact Arum and Arum himself even stated that he ignored his calls and didn't know why Shaefer would be calling him.

    5. Arum stated that Manny couldn't fight on May 5th bc of his cut and then said he would make Marquez vs Pac 4 on May 5th when he thought Floyd would be in jail.

    6. Floyd's sentence was pushed back and Arum came out with the stadium wouldn't be ready by May 5th.

7.Now Floyd is sitting around listening to all this bull**** and decided to call Manny directly and made his offer. Manny turned him down and Floyd turned down 50/50.

    8. Arum stated after that, " Even with a 50/50 deal this fight is not going to happen on May 5th. Lets do it in November.

Now do you still want to put all the blame on Floyd and can you see how this probably could have been worked out if Arum would have just entered into negotiations to go over all the numbers and promotional aspects?

You're right - Floyd did claim he made 60 million against Mosley. . . And he's claiming he'll make "60-70 million" against Cotto. . He won't make that unless the fight does around 2 million buys. . . Even then, after taxes, and paying off golden boy, and haymon he'll make half that.

Also, some of these guys honestly believe "floyd keeps 100%' of his share, and he "is his own boss" :rofl If that's the case, why did he have a guarantee? He wouldn't have guarantees if he was REALLY his own promotor. . Golden Boy is putting up a lot of the upfront capital (risk), and they're not doing that for free. . . And hten Al Haymon is definitely getting his cut. .

Floyd is probably making a little more gross than Manny is (off hte same revenue), but not by THAT much. . . He's probably paying out around 20% of his share to Haymon, and Golden Boy, while Manny gets 27% of his share. .

Floyd's bigger, stronger, faster and a flat out better boxer than Marquez. No, their styles are not identical, and yes, Marquez had already been in two fights with Pacquiao... and Manny wasn't able to beat him convincingly in the first two either. :deal

Like I said, Floyd can go on fighting whoever and make $40 million each time out, so why would he want to deal with his scumbag former promoter and pay that piece of ****'s fighter more than he knows he's worth?

Manny said that he would agree to all Floyd's demands (venue, date, drug testing) if the cut was 50/50.. Floyd said no, thereby effectively ending negotiations. . . We can speculate on what would have hapened even if Floyd did agree to the cut, like Arum continuing to have other demands. . . But the fact is, WE DON'T KNOW. What we do know is that Floyd refused to be fair by giving a 50/50 cut. . .

Floyd is 75% responsible for the fight not happening this time, so I'm going to slam him for being a bytch.

What about the time Floyd ignored Arum's calls? Overall, both have been responsible for not making the fight, BUT THIS GO 'ROUND, it's pretyt much on FLoyd.

When did Floyd ignore Arum's calls? How did Floyd end negotiations that never took place?

Yes Manny did say that but Arum calls the shot and stated that this fight is not happening May 5th. So I guess Manny is going to draw up the fight contract himself and sign it against Arum's wishes? Is that what you think? So Floyd is 75% to blame when his team was the one making numerous calls trying to begin negotiations while the other team refused to even pick up the phone and made excuses as to why the fight couldn't happen May 5th? :patsch

See if negotiations would have taking place then it all could have been worked out. Floyd could have said that he wanted the bigger share and GBP and Top Rank could have worked out a deal to get him more. That is what their job is. The bottom line is this fight was never giving that opportunity bc of Arum.

Show me where Arum said the fight isn't happening until November even if FLoyd agrees to 50/50? (AFTER Floyd's phone call had gone public ranting about nobody getting 50/50). . .

Yes, Floyd is at least 75% responsible for the fight not happening this time. . . He ended negotiations with his refusal for 50/50. .

I don't believe much of what other parties say - Arum said "floyd, oscr, etc. said/did this. . . " Floyd/Ellerbe said "Arum said/did this. . . " In the past, it was a cluster****. . . The time where Floyd was not returning Top Rank calls, and how he claimed there never were negotiations, despite the HBO president (neutral third party) saying there was in fact negotiations, and they were fairly deep in the process. .
