Flioyd weighed in at 150 on fight night against Ortiz.

Pac tends to weigh near 150 on his fight nights too.

So what is all this talk about Floyd being the bigger fighter?

Floyd has an inch in height, and reach, but that's about it.

Manny used to box at 147 at Super Featherweight, in ring. And fights at about 150 now.

Which is pretty much identical to Mayweather at the two weights.

Only differences between Manny and Floyd size wise is:

1: Mayweather wasn't boxing pro until he was 20. Manny 16.

2: Floyd flew through the weights much faster, as there wasn't much talent at 130 in his era

Manny took maybe 3-4 years to move from 130-135. Mayweather was only there for 18 months.

Because Manny had a lot of big fights there to chase. Floyd had beaten every relevant challenger within a year there

pac is the naturally smaller fighter than floyd. pac will make the 144 catchweight against jmm while floyd can't. pac has never weighed 150 on fight night and pac has to eat more protein and carbo at WW to maintain his weight during training. WW is just perfect for floyd. right now floyd has around 2 to 3 pounds advantage on pac both on weigh-in and fight night which would not be a big problem. pac should be more concern with floyd's height and reach advantage.

Based on current weight, height and reach - there's not much difference. Floyd is an inch or so taller, a little more reach and maybe weighs a pound or so more on fight night.

Size was never going to be an issue with this fight.

The same with Marquez. Floyd didn't win that fight based on weight. The fight would have looked very similar if Floyd fought Marquez at 135 or 130.

    This is false.

Floyd has weighed in at 146 and below numerous times at Welterweight.

What's more, Manny walks the streets at a heavier weight than Floyd. He came into his last camp weighing 160!

Its weird because many people on this board are saying Pac-JMM are roughly the same size yet Floyd was way too big for JMM :huh

I'm not sticking up for Floyd here either as I think both May and Pac are significantly bigger than JMM

You guys need to differentiate between the levels of athlete these guys are, and their physical size.

Mayweather is probably quite a lot bigger, and stronger than Pacquiao, looking at him. That doesn't mean he's physically heavier than him.

I bet Floyd could dunk a basketball as an example. I doubt Manny could get anywhere near it.

Genetics are genetics. Doesn't mean he's actually, physically, any bigger
