The minute Manny announced he was dragging Marquez up to Welterweight, the Pac Nation all decided, that he had put on 10 pounds of natural weight in the last year..................:good

Manny is miles bigger than Marquez. He'd go into the ring 10 pounds heavier than him, even at Super Featherweight.

Manny used to box at 147 at Super Feather. As in, he was a Welterweight even then.

Marquez is genuinely a Super Featherweight. As in, he's probably most effective around 130 and uses his talent for the rest.

Pacquiao killed himself to fight there. As would have Mayweather

The guy was putting on close to 20 pounds in rehydration after weighing in

can he weigh 144 just like pac is doing now? pacquiao can make 140 if he really needs to. it's just that around 144 is now his comfortable weight. floyd is weighing close to 147 for all his recent fights at WW.

It is like saying not much size difference between DLH and Hopkins cause Hopkins weighs below 160 lbs at fight time

Pac deliberately bloats up to 150 lbs. Floyd on the other hand just tries to keep it at that level.

Put it this way - Floyd could not even make 144 lbs 2 years ago that he'd rather pay $600K. Pac on the other hand happily weighed 144 lbs in a fight at 150 lbs!

    Big difference.

    Eh...NO!

Hopkins and De La Hoya both weighed in at the same weight.

Come fight night, there was a noticable difference.
When Floyd and Manny get in the ring, there will be a negligible difference.

Floyd is a small welter. As can be seen by the fact that Ortiz outweighed him by 14 pounds.

Does anyone know the fight night weights for Floyd-Marquez?

Interestingly enough, just by eyeballing you can tell Floyd is bigger than JMM in their fight, yet Pac-JMM II they look the same size, weighing 141/145 respectively.

Pacquiao can't make 135 lbs. and Marquez can. Despite this, I've heard many argue that they are the same size because their fight night weight are only a couple of lbs. apart. Where do you stand on the issue? Is it all about fight night weight, or the lowest weight class you can make?

Dude weighed 150 on Saturday, he was clearly much smaller than Ortiz.(14 lbs as a matter of fact).

He could make 144, but seemingly isnt concerned about wanting to do that. He just wants to fight as his easiest weight, and not bulk up or cut weight.

i saw the fight...they did not look the same size...the fact you continue to try and defend your ******ation only makes it worse

why are you whining? this is my opinion on what i saw. i saw it on the cinema and floyd looked bulkier and thicker to me. floyd always lookw big even against mosley. put beside jmm on fight night, he looked like a tank. this is via visual inspection.

i checked the photos (this time and not cinema) and it looks around that they are the same size. of course floyd still looks thicker.
