Margo with a broken eye socket that required surgery and Pac with cracked ribs. I've seen fighters quit with those injuries. Props to both of them. Heart of a champion is why they became champions.
I've had a cracked rib in sparring (it's cracked right now) it really hurts more the next day or the one after.
Over the years I've found plenty of reasons to criticize both guys, but both have "the true warrior" mentality, and that is not debatable.
Pac's ribs weren't cracked, just badly bruised. He was huddled in a fetal position 2 days after the fight and checked himself into a hospital the following Tuesday. That reminds me... ribs sound really good for dinner tonight.
They are true warriors... Thats why I felt it was an honor to order the PPV and buy a hat and fight t-shirt for the fight! 2 warriors...
i remember escalera vs arguello, escalera left with a terrible cut on his tongue and arguello with a broken rib, can remember if it was one or more than one rib and if it was in the 1st or 2nd fight, lol i havnt fully seen them.
pac also busted his hands up on Margo's thick noggin. couldn't sign autographs at the presser. his rib/hip area was so sore jinkee had to help him walk at a thanksgiving mass after, which was confirmed by a reporter that was there. he reportedly spent the next 2 days curled up in bed in the fetal position it was so painful to move
...and after the fight, Pac and his wife went into Margo's locker room, hugged Margo, Michelle and Robert and also shook hands with the other guys in the room. Rumor was, Brandon didn't shook or he avoided Manny.
