Yeah blowing up 40 pounds could be considered a bit less strict!

Just try to look back at pac's pics or videos during his last 2 fights @ 130. His face looks like skeletor.

I think marquez will be effective up to 140. It would probably do good for him since he is getting older. If he can bring his power with him then he will be fine.

Probably can. They both knocked out their two opponents above 130 so far. I'm interested in the 3rd fight if for any reason because I know they'll both be at a comfortable weight and not draining themselves.

No, but Philla must point this out because he believes Hatton has an advantage because of the weight which I feel is utter ****!

i dont think so, if i recall i remember him sayin Pac was in his top 3 favorite fighters...

but yeah, i agree, i dont think Hatton's weight will effect Pac much at all, if anything it'll slow him down and make Pac seem that much faster

I know, Philla is the biggest Pac nut-hugger around, except for PacDbest of course but he's trying to say it's more credit to Pacquiao if he wins because Hatton is bigger which I don't believe for a second.

Philla is a very knowledgeable poster... he is a big pac fan and might be bias sometimes but he is not in the pachugger level. He's not even filpino. :good

pac will rehydrate to about 149 come fightime while hatton will enter the ring at around 154. that will be about a 5 lb difference in fighting weight. but if hatton wants to keep up with pac's speed, it may be better if he can come in a few lbs lighter, perhaps @152 instead. but i think hatton is probably focusing on a good size/strength advantage rather than trying to hang with pac's speed and movement.

Pacman is about right at that weight. He goes overboard in training and is in his peak form already. He shouldn't be trying to loose 10lbs the day of the fight. I think pacman will come in a monster at 140lb. I don't hear much from the hatton camp, all hype is centered around Manny.

We should rename threads like this to "Jeff M squabbles with the *******s", and just assign roman numerals to them, ie I, II, III, IV, etc, so the rest of the forum can steer clear and actually talk some boxing.

I think with 9 days left that is a perfect weight to be at for Manny Pacquiao~

Sound funny when you actually say it. He's peurto rican so there ya go. :yep

I think people are underrating Hatton's skills, and are overrating Pac's effectiveness at 140, when we haven't even seen him fight at.

I heard one news when he was still at Morales II and III that he walks 145 - 150+ lbs while on break.

Let's not forget that when he did Morales III at Super Featherweight(130lbs), he came in fightnight at 147lbs.

Pac body was growing with the help of having a nutrionist besides him, which he never got until his Featherweight ending.
