Im going to stir the pot a little today boys .. John David Jackson was quoted as saying that Pac avoids good black fighters... do any of you poster agree with Jackson's statement or is pac a victim of a lack of black talent at the lower weights ?
haaa, that's what nate cambell said when we talked to him on the radio show.....nate said mexicans and whites have an unwritten rule to "stay away from black fighters".......i kind of called him on it cause he gave me the morales vs zahir raheem fight as an example...
There aren't a lot of good black fighters at the lower weights. The only one I can think of is Guzman. and plenty of guys avoid him. EDIT: You could make a case for Nate Campbell aswell.
do you agree with it ? I will be the first to admit that nate cambell is good fighter but there is no money in fighting Nate Cambell at this stage of pac career .
This has been done before. It was ******ed then, and it's ******ed now. Americans, see 'retarted' for '******ed' ****ing idiots.
Well, stylistically, it would not favor Pac. Pac fights one style of fighter pretty much with the exception of JMM's counter-punching which has given him fits. Of course there has not really been top black fighters for him to face in the past but there is now, so lets see if it ever happens, but I'd be surprised. I've always believed he cannot handle a good slick fighter, black or whatever color they may be! Nate Campbell is full of a lot a **** though so I take what he says with a grain of salt or less!
Who do you think would have been the prime black fighters he should have faced at these following weight divisions? I was trying to think of all the fighters he could have fought at the lower weights during that time and all I could think of was Derrick Smoke Gainer and Freddie Norwood. I don't even think Norwood was relevant at that point anymore. Maybe someone who knows more can shed more light on this. There was thoughts of a Tim Austin fight back in the day but it never materialized.
