Pacquiao fought Marquez at JMM's best weights. Floyd is fighting him miles away from that. If Floyd can't beat him more convincingly than Pac then it would be a gigantic black mark against Floyd's greatness.

Floyd is miles above his best weight also. All Floyd has to do is win, and not by Pac fans standards, and the public will demand the fight. I doubt Arum and Roach make this fight anyway. They've stayed away from slick boxing styles this long, who's to say that they can't keep it up a bit longer until Pac's career is over. Old men and inferior comp is how Pac has made his name. I don't blame him, that is Arum's recipe for success for his fighters. Just like Barrera and Morales were fed Pac, PAc will be fed to Valero. The only thing is you guys don't know that Valero would kick Pac's ass yet lol.

For you, not for everybody else. Mayweather beating Pacquiao would surpass anything that can come for Mayweather beating MOsley or Cotto

Honestly....I wouldn't call this "cherry pickin" although I truly feel Floyd will win convicingly. He's bigger, faster and a better boxer. The cards are stacked against JMM unfortunaltely but you gotta love his ambition.

On anther note...You can't compare a smaller man moving up in weight to not only win, but demolish his larger opponent that were common foes for Pac and Floyd...By floyd facing a foe Pac has beaten in JMM who was at his Natural weight and in his overall prime doesn't say much about a floyd win considering JMM is moving up in weight and has shown signs of "slipping". Sure the layoff might be a factor but this is Floyd "Money" Mayweather! His talent in this era is unmatched except for a prime Roy Jones and a preswnt day Pac.

Why do you think PBF made this fight, and announced it on the day he knew Pac was going to ace Hatton?

This is the whole angle. Well, that and the cherrypicking of the smaller guy, of course.

    Business-wise, smart move for PBF.

It goes like this: "Yeah, he beat two guys I fought worse than I did, but I beat a guy many felt beat him worse than he did."

"Guess we have to have a fight between us. Did I mention I'm like naturally 20 lbs heavier than Pac, taller, have longer reach, etc? But I can get back my P4P status, start paying off the IRS and fool all y'all by beating two smaller guys. Let's do this!"

"Oh, and the hell with Larry Merchant for calling me out. Larry -- don't ruin my $$$ train by telling people the truth!"

JMM is not getting any younger. His clock is ticking. One of the biggest reason why he's fighting Floyd is the money. If he beats Floyd, double if not triple win for him. Floyd beating Marquez is just a regular win for him.

Sorry, but fans want to see PAc-Floyd. No amount of crying will stop this fight from happening. What you know about the IRS and Floyd is what you know about boxing...nothing.

i cant see maquez beating floyd and i think its going to be a pretty boring fight. shame really i love watching both but floyd imo is too big for marquez in every department except for wanting to fight it out.

floyd will just jab and move all day till he see's his opportunity and will end up throwing flurries to stop marquez. i can even seeing him backing marquez up to ropes where he seems to love it but when marquez comes back as he usually does floyd will just work behind the jab and move out the way unlike the diaz who stood there toe to toe!
