whats wrong with it the way it is? better testing is all I give a **** about, this whole bringing in a federal commission its basically renaming the commissions your always going to have questionable decisions no matter what that is part of the sport.

I think the problem is not the sport its todays ****ing fans the moment a questionable decision is rendered they rant and rave about they did this, they ****ed up that they should have done this.

Bottom line your fighter lost learn to deal with it.

Basically in order to fix boxing, you need someone to buy all four major title ranking organisations and then someone like Golden Boy to effectively "own" all fighter contracts so that matches can be made irregardless of the politics, so that one true title is in effect and basically lock out other organisations by making them irrelevant on the world stage.

UFC did this, but they were only dealing with 15 years of legacy to resolve. It will be much harder for boxing and the other issue you have is even if you get WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF into one sanctioning agency, others will sprout up until you have a single fight promoter who owns the majority of contracts and refuses to pay sanctioning fees for other titles.

Promoters will never do this because to be perfectly honest, Boxing isn't dead. Boxing has never been more alive, look at the record numbers in PPV and how much athletes are making - more million dollar + fights than ever before

 

Ppv didnt exist back then nor did televisions. Boxing is dead.

 

Arum is going to be pissed off if this happens. I doubt Arum will agree with it.

 

I am dead set against it, makes for the possibility of one fighter to fight lazy, or for the other to get discouraged.
I rather keep that out of boxing, I would love to just see boxing with all audio no commentary that would be nice.

 

I understand that but guess what this is boxing one shot can change everything.
Other sports you have players who hold the ball, Down the Ball etc.. playing the clock.
And we dont want that in boxing.

 

Open Scoring makes perfect sense in my view, it removes the guess work from fights and allows fighters to know exactly where they stand.

If a fighter is 8-0 ahead after 12, he can decide whether to just shut up shop and go defensive or attempt to finish the fight.

Even if you don't like that concept, you could move it to the situation where if a fighter compiles a lead of seven rounds at any point in the fight across all fight cards, the fight is stopped and ruled as a technical stoppage.

 

It would be similar to how a football game goes after the score is run up by 28, 35, 42...The team that's up that much would run the ball to keep the clock ticking.

I understand what your saying and it is a valid point.

 

I'd rather have 50 smaller corrupt entities than 1 huge corrupt entity that you can't escape.
