    ARUM's PPV Formula = (Actual Buys) + (100000 x number of rounds) + ( 10000 x Arum's Age) + ( Extra few mill just to ensure we have overtaken Floyd's previous fight)

OK, step back and think for a minute. How does TR recoup costs or pay their fighters if they simply put a free fight on TV? Or should Pac take a much smaller purse then normal because some noob doesn't think this should be on PPV?

WTF do you mean free anyway? NBC? ABC? Or HBO?

Hate to tell you this, but Manny won his last fight. You can pretend EVERYONE agrees with you, but no. And besides, that doesn't even matter. Think losing a fight means you CANNOT be on a PPV next? Ridiculous. NOW, if he simply took a tune up fight, then being on HBO would be the best route. But Pac vs. TB is a very good fight. It might not sell as well as Floyd vs. Cotto, but it's a closer fight from a competative standpoint.

I would agree with this too. Inflated purses have made PPV's a must for some boxers, removed any high risk fights for fear of losing or even looking bad for some mid-level fighters, and put an emphasis on the business side rather than the sport side. I doubt that many here remember when PPVs where an event in boxing. When they were actually rare. Now they are nothing more then fights meant to pay a star's inflated purse.

If Pac vs Clottey did 700k buys, this will make at least 1 million.
****, a 600k buys is considered a sucessful PPV event!

Depending on the purses invovled, 300K can be deemed a success too. Too many think a fight MUST be near a million buys to be a success.
