When will you realize that you can't throw punches in bunches against PBF and not pay a price.:deal When have you seen PBF hit clean with a 3 or 4 shot combo there's a reason.:deal
I'm gonna have to seriously disagree with this. Mayweather is erroneously criticized for his "lack of power" just because he doesn't USE it often not because he doesn't have it. This is often misconstrued. Floyd's power is more than adequate. It's his mentality that you wish to take issue with. At this stage in his career Floyd is never gonna commit to a punch 100% and sit on it unless he 200% certain that he's not gonna eat some major leather on account of this. Before the tremendous fame and attention he was more apt to please and go for the KO. You would see more combination punching (not that he was a big combination puncher) from Floyd and ultimately more KOs. He was more legacy oriented. Now that he's reached the immense level of fame that he has, the driving force behind that is his 0 which he rightfully protects. The difference between Floyd and pretty much any other fighter is that he is such a great talent that he can protect that 0 and net clear, indisputable victories with his B game. And that's his happy medium. He can get a victory to maintain his 0 without risking anything . . . a knockdown, a knockout, anything (and if that means no knockout, then so be it), cuz all it takes is one lucky, well placed punch to turn Floyd's record to x amount of wins and 1. And with that "and 1" he'd lose his selling point because you pay to see the pompous ******* take that first loss. Once he already has it he'd be like any other fighter. And he know this. Credit to Floyd for being able to stick to his game plan regardless. Mind over matter.
I'm Filipino and a big Pac fan as you might expect. However, I believe Pac-Man only stands a puncher's chance of beating Floyd. If Floyd is content to merely win the fight, he can go defensive and win by points. With his reach advantage, jab, and footwork; he can avoid Manny all night long. It wouldn't be an exciting fight, but that would be the smart fight for Money. Floyd wins easily if it is a boxing match. Manny's only hope is to turn it into a brawl and hopes he lands some bombs.
u You're absolutely right. I don't know if anyone else noticed but every time JMM stepped in and feint he would have Mayweather going backwards and that allowed him to get within a punching range. The problem is that he was just too small & slow. Pac on the other hand is VERY good with his feint and despite his relentless style he is a very smart fighter, but I still would favor Floyd though, because he just a naturally bigger dude. If Pac gets past Cotto and this fight comes off I am certain Roach would take a look at the JMM fight and have Pac working on his feint to setup his punches instead of trying to shoot right in. I don't think Roach would want Pac trying to brawl his way in as Mayweather is very good with his counter puncher, but will instead have Pac trying to shoot in and out behind his feints.
The outcome of Pac-Cotto will say a lot of Pac's chances against Floyd. Right now I tend to think that Floyd easily outboxes him.. But Pac seem to be still improving..
That doesn't makes any sense all. Even Nacho (or the translator said) that Marquez needed 2 more fights for his body to adjust to that weight class. Marquez looked old and sluggish at that weight, a real sitting duck for Mayweather. Pac is a beast at 140-148 and will hit Mayweather. Remember Oscar was close (split dec) and even Hatton won 3 rounds against Floyd. Pac destroyed those 2. I agree Floyd should fight Mosley (before he turns 40). But there's talks at Team Pacquiao that they are not happy with Arum at how he handled talks with Mayweather camp and are thinking about buying the contract out. They're also upset at Mayweather's claims that Arum made too much money from Pac's fights.
The dude must of just went into a stupor last night. JMM is a better combination and is more accurate than Pacman would ever be. He landed the harder better shots in 80% of their exchanges when the two fought. Floyd made Marquez miss just about everything and figured him out in one round and he did it so easily he could not stop laughing. Floyd is the ****ing Matrix in there and like he said he seen the shots coming for Marquez even got off. And who has the most limited combination in the history of top fighters.. ****ing Pacman. The dude has 2 or 3 combinations that he goes with and after that he is done. His speed and power and the fact he never fought anyone with a shred of ****ing defense is why he shines.
The greatest bull**** lie ever told. Name the 3 rounds that Hatton won? So I can quickly debunk that bull**** by posting the ****ing fight. You scared ass pacwhores.
I agree JMM is a brilliant combo puncher but was reduced to looking like just an ordinary guy against PBF. PBF figured JMM out much quicker than I expected. I thought it would take him atleast 4 or 5 rounds to do it due to rust but he did it in 2. Pac man is screwed if the two ever meet. Honestly If I was Team Pac I would avoid PBF for as long as possible he's a stylistic nightmare for him.
