I don't have any .gifs but I noticed he always had a hard time connecting his right hook on Marquez. Be it a jab or a straight right, Pac always connected his counter right hook first against his other opponents, but not Marquez. Marquez always got his overhand right in first. And IMO, Pac's right hook is the main key. It was a no-show last Saturday.

I was one of those that thought Pac's right hand would be the difference. I was wrong, I didn't see the right hand making much of a difference.

Manny never developed a right hand, he was just facing opponents who couldn't take advantage of it, and made him look better than he was

Marquez is a master at keeping the right distance on the inside and outside. He rarely ever falls out of place or over commits

Yeah, he was having difficulty landing any of his shots. One example of when he tried his right-hook counter:

He landed it a few times, but on the whole Marquez was ****ing up his timing. Breaking his rhythm to come forward with a combination and then circle out to resume counter-punching really made Pacquiao helpless; he has to be careful rushing in, but watch out when he himself may come forward. This, along with the knowledge of their past fights, made Pacquiao nervous and unwilling to commit to anything. You saw Marquez baiting the right hook to try and come over under and over the top with something (which I caught at the end of their rematch and something he tried in the one round against Ramos) so there was even less incentive to throw it. Even when he did land the right, half the time JMM would land a better counter over it.
