    new state-of-the-art venue.

no MMA event on this dates so far.

    President Bush possibly watching.

i would say it may match the pacquiao-cotto fight.

This is certainly possible. It really depends how effectively they market this. They would need to stack the undercard as well.

    700k

I def dont think it will do more then that..... if it does pac is a bigger name then i thought he was.

Pac vs Hatton and Pac vs Cotto were high numbers because believe it or not, both Hatton and Cotto are pretty popular, Clottey not so much.

With it being Dallas Stadium, and Pac having more momentum now then ever, it will do above normal, but i dont see it matching the Cotto fight.

Under 500k ... maybe 250-300k ... Manny can be a big draw all he wants but he's not going to do good numbers without a quality dance partner.

Clottey might have a name but he's not in the public eye like that ... Pacquiao might be better served to fight Paul Malignaggi ...

The promotion is going to tank ...

There are a few cable companies that offer PPV ($20) for live telecast and some CCTV locations in theaters where they charge about $10 each and also shown on local channels but is about 2-3 hours delayed telecast.

Geez good point, I completely forgot about Margarito!

If he get's licensed, the return factor will be of interest to boxing fans and yes, the Mexican contingent who'll still think he's a god!

Allowing the Margarito factor, I'm at a top of 750-800k buys.

This would have to be a mammoth publicity tour in double quick time in order for this to put together 1m+ buys.

It depends i think, Pacquiao has momentum, his legend has grown exponentially since his dismantling of Cotto. now even casual boxing fans who previously know only dela hoya and Tyson know him and they are concerned who his next opponent will be. Not to mention that pacquiao has had mainstream publicity during the mayweather negotiation debacle. what we had was newspapers all around america which rarely covers boxing suddenly tuning in to whether the Big fight floyd could be made. for christ sake, even TMZ is milking Pacquiao and freedie roach for whatever controversy they could get. Positive or negative, publicity is publicity and it helps to sell a fight. Add to this Jerry Jones NFL connection, we could see Pacquiao being promoted in some Cowboys game. All in all i think it could equal or even surpass the Cotto fight.

However if he goes head to head on PPV with Floyd mayweather on march 13, it would impact negatively on both fights and they would be forced to share on a single market. I think pacquiao would have to take a big cut in sales but i think he would still come out with the bigger PPV buys between them two

    400 to 450K.

Manny's last three fights attacked guys who had known PPV fan bases so it's hard to tell how much of the rub is on Manny just yet. Clottey doesn't have that extra fan base built in so it may be sold on Manny alone. Margarito's return will garner some extra attention but I'm going to guess low and say about 425K.

I think it's a huge success if "The Event" gets 300K-400K. There are X-factors though especially with the new stadium. I might buy the fight just to see that beautiful stadium have a Boxing Ring in it. Also, it depends on the undercard may'be Arum will do us a favor and actually have a good undercard. (Yea right, like that will happen) Right now, I would say 200K, but this is January 13th, and depending on how they hype this fight up it could do a lot more.
