It was the greatest Lampley meltdown to date -- and that's saying quite a bit.

I'm tivo'ing it just to hear Lampley **** himself again. Kellerman waited way too long to interrupt him and save him from himself.

What the **** was Kellerman thinking when he used the word "unprecedented" in the post-fight interview with Pac?

Just watched it, and yes Lampley was bloody hilarious....

Clotty on the other hand looked like a man taking a dive....The crowd lapped it up, Clotty stood there sucking up 120 Pac punches a round, throwing 30....he had zero intention of ever winning that fight.

It's strange...leading up to the Cotto fight, Pac haters and Cotto supporters were defending Cotto's tough go with Clottey as being a matter of Clottey being one of those fighters who "could make anyone look bad. Yet, Clottey didn't make Pacquiao look nearly as bad as he did Cotto...I mean c'mon. At least Pacquiao tried to put on a show, and I must point this out - were fans walking out early and booing like they were in the Mayweather-Baldomir fight?

    Huh?

Yeah, I guess some geniuses at ESB still believe the 8-1 underdog was paid to lose .

Hey everyone, BIll Gates paid me $10 million dollars to not run for president. Really!

This is one of those cases where a fighter (Clottey) didn't or refused to heed his trainers advice. The biggest fight of his career and he blew it w/ the "safety first" attitude.

Oh yeah...I must admit though, Lampley's over exuberance made me feel slightly embarrassed for him, but hey...I think he was either trying to inject some excitement into a dull fight, or point out how Pac was "banging" away while Clottey was content to cover up and do...nothing.

MP honestly could have cruised to victory as early as the middle rounds, and just hold on until the final bell.

And I personally would have told him to ease up on the gas pedals starting the last 2 rounds.

But I think he actually had the 11th round as one of his most active rounds that night, the whole fight.

It was a good fight. I don't get all the talk about it being boring. It wasn't a barn-burner, but it was entertaining enough. Still glad I didn't buy the PPV.

I did not say he took a dive, just thats what it looked like to me.

JUst consider, Clotty wins, instant fame and stardom, a world title, a massive fight against Mosley or Floyd, countless millions of dollars.

He loses and he is getting to the stage of a trial horse, not a serious contender, loses pretty much all hope of another world title fight for years, if ever.

Then hes in a fight with Pac, Clotty is bigger, stronger, taking Pac's punches, perhaps can punch as hard or maybe even harder than Pac, and, for no reason ....does not thow punches....really?

Yes. Really. Clottey has always fought that way. ****ing always. Anyone who expected anything different from his must not have had a very good grasp of his style or mentality.
