Jones-Hopkins would be good if they did a documentary and went in-depth about their early lives and careers. Jones upbringing sounds hellish and it's be great to hear him talk about his early career.

Hopkins has changed a lot as a person, and hearing that, along with the intersection of their careers and varying paths would be good, but it needs a separate one hour documentary for each.

    Haye/Wlad/Vit sounds painful.

Did you watch the documentaries? A few other boxers also have them (De La Hoya, Leonard, Duran, Lewis, Tyson).

Back to 24/7, HBO are obviously already planning a Pac-Mayweather fight, Cotto has hardly had any airtime compared to Pacquiao and I'd be amazed if this wasn't the most one-sided 24/7 in history, which is a shame as they set up Cotto's story quite nicely in the 1st episode but never went back to it.

Rant over and despite that I am absolutely buzzing for tonight. :happy:happy:happy

The last three minutes of episode four were stunning. That's what HBO do best - I actually had tears in my eyes, especially when the montage showed Cotto giving in to Margarito. The preparation, the people and the desire of both men... goosebump time.

Cotto has such character, and Manny is such a character... how can this fight not be amazing?

Safc, I'm going to search those documentaries down

I don't how they keep churning out this philosophical stuff near the end of every single 24/7. Some day they're gonna get writers block.

    Nice one Ishy.

I can't wait for this fight now. I don't think I've been this up for a fight since Cotto-Margarito.

and the guy who does the voiceover is also brilliant, i googled him and his name is Liev Schrieber - and if michael buffer ever decides to retire anytime soon i reckon this guy could do a good job at replacing him.

Schreiber's an actor. I most remember him for playing the Victor in the Wolverine movie, and the presidential hope in the Manchurian Candidate remake with Denzel Washington.

So, it's unlikely he'll be a ring announcer, but he is fantastic for 24/7.
