Catchweights have had titles on the line before...yes i know but if Cotto doesnt want to defend his title at a catchweight then thats his decision. His reason for refusin to defend it is that the fight is at 145 not 147. Its his belt.

Even if the fight was at 147 and Cotto refused 2 defend the belt then it wudnt b a title fight.

Its all down to Cotto nd what he wants to do with HIS belt

Pac is making a big concession on weight aspect for that title. den cotto just have to cut 1 lb from his recent fight (JC) weigh-in. If he's confident that he can beat pac why messd up this fight just for that title alone.

It's a meaningless strap vacated by a fighter who was frozen out of the division that Cotto picked up by beating a bum after his promoter (who was responsible for running the belt's previous owner out of the division in the first place) pulled strings with the sanctioning body to get him a title fight when he was coming of a loss.

This 5/6/7 division "world champ" bull**** is only for marks and fanboys. I still can't believe that so many people call DLH a "six division champion" with a straight face considering the circumstances behind his "title reigns" at 130 and 160.

Either way Pac-man doesnt get what he wants,If he wants the belt hes gonna have 2 comee up to 147 which means bye bye to his "advantage"

But If he wants to keep the "catchweight " and he beats Cotto he wont win anything, and Cotto already stated if the WBO Forces him to defend his title he will vacate it

haha,so no matter what Pacqiauo loses,God I cant wait till Cotto knocks him out

By the way, how come nobody on this ****in site can manage to keep their arguments ON THE EXACT SAME TOPIC in one thread?

Do you all feel the need to start your own thread on the same subject over and over?

    Here's one on topic.

Why is it that I never heard anyone complaining about catchweight championship fights until Cotto decided to protect his trinket title?

I dont think he's serious. If pac will stood with his demand (title at stake) cotto will give in.

Cotto just dont want to fight at 145. He wants to fight at 147, cause he thinks a Welterweight title fight is only at 147lbs! WW is at 141-147 you CHICKEN COTTO SH*T! Im done with this. The fight is not going to happen at all.....
