For whatever reason? He's held the 154 title for twelve months without winning it in the ring or defending it. If it was someone else you'd be outraged!

I agree with your whole thread barring the bit i have highlighted , and the fact you think Cotto can beat or come close to beating Pacquio .

Im really unsure what your basing this information on , i thought Cotto looked fat and his output for me was considerably less than any of his previous fights , his head movement (not that we see much of that anyway) was pretty much non existant and he looked as vulnerable as ever when fighting off the back foot , so much so i was crying out for Foreman to up his output , but Cotto was a too crafty for him and Foreman didnt like the taste of Cotto's LH so chose to get on his bike and rarely engage !!!!

This fight is disguisting , how any man would want to see a legend of the sport take another beating to line that old *******s pockets is beyond me , it should not even be getting spoken about its shocking !!!!!

Having said that  , if for what ever reason this fight does happen , id like to see Pacquiao make the correct weight you are right about that , but i wont be tuning in to watch this no way !!!!

    Pacquiao TKO Cotto 9 :deal

The only **** we've heard was comments from Cotto's camp saying they were interested in a rematch...

You know what you're doing, out here trying to feed the rats...

I can't say I would be thrilled if they were to rematch, but if they do it better be at the full LMW limit. Fighting under another catch weight its just plain ******ed. Pac's team doesn't want to allow Cotto the only natural advantage he has, which is size. By forcing Cotto to adjust to a smaller weight they’re neutralizing his only real advantage while ensuring Pac maintains his greatest physical advantage which is his speed.

IMO If Pac wants an 8th divisional belt he needs to actually fight in that weight class. The amazing thing about Pac moving up and winning these belts is him fighting larger men, but if he forces them all to come down in weight they aren't really larger men. During the fight Cotto and Pac looked very very comparable in size

Forget the catch weight, if Pac is that dame good, why should there be a catch weight?

I don't know when he was granted championship status but I think Floyd is the emiterus (sp) champion at 154.

So I dont think they care.

What? That the likelihood of a rematch with Cotto would happen at a CW?

    Even Philla thinks it should.

Fighting the same opponent in 2 different weight classes with both being at catchweights would be a **** take.

if cotto boxes pac there's no reason why he can't beat him at 147, pac would certainly be favourite and rightly so but hasn't suddenly become unbeatable. box pac and he is more than beatable, marquez has given everyone the blueprint but no one wants to follow it. if any current welterweight stands toe-toe then they get beat, but box him then there are flaws to take advantage of.

I don't know why some people are acting as if this is some far-fetched, dumb-ass, fantasy scenario.

Roach is GONNA ask for it. And Cotto may possibly accept. And you will have plenty of people who defend this.

Forest was stripped and Martinez elevated to champion in March 2009.
